As the afternoon LA heat starts to creep in, Kensi leans forward in her lawn chair, her attention moving back and forth between the blonde at home plate and the brunette at third.
“Strike!”
“Come on, Casey!” The brunette yells along with the rest of the parents.
The pitcher winds up and releases the ball. It sails across the field, right down the center of the plate. Casey connects with it, sending the object flying across the gap between the first and second basemen.
Kensi stands up, cheering as she watches her boy turn on the burners, running towards home. As soon as Theo steps across the plate, she’s left in a state of shock when he pops his butt back and does a little twerk in celebration.
She tries to stifles her laugh as she watches her son and quickly looks back to third base, locking eyes with her husband who is shaking his head, grinning.
As the 10 year old starts to walk back into the dugout, he locks eyes with his mom, same grin as his dad spread across his face. He’s his father’s son, that there’s no denying.
About a half hour later the game finally wraps up and Kensi makes her way over towards the gate waiting for her boys. As the last of the players trickle out Theo and Deeks finally make their way out.
The brunette has a bright smile on his face, as he runs up to mom. “Did you see my celebration dance?”
“Yeah, baby, I did.” She laughs and looks up at her husband as they share a smile. “Just like your dad.”
“Oh, what?” Deeks feigns shock before he pops out his butt and proceeds to twerk just like his mini me did awhile ago.
The 10 year old laughs before joining his dad as they twerk up a storm.
Kensi shakes her head a mixture of disbelief and awe written across her face. This is her life and she loves every weird thing about it.
