1) favourite christmas film?

i don't really have one so i'm going to be super ridiculous and say blackadder's a christmas carol because rowan atkinson, hugh laurie, and stephen fry all in one place at the same time.

2) what was your last dream about?

i can't remember oops.

3) film/book you’re most excited for in 2014?

there really isn't one, to be perfectly honest.

4) what’s your most prized possession?

oh god i don't know... my guitar? or my ribbon from my horse show? or nugget's halters?

5) if you could turn a book/book series into a tv series/film, what would it be?

either the abhorsen trilogy or the entire contents of the tortall universe (i don't care if it's four quartets and a few other books. it's basically one ongoing series in parts)

6) a player you like who’s in a team you hate? can be any sport.

i don't pay attention to sports at all oops.

7) what’s the best present you’ve ever given someone? and received too since i’m being a bit nosy.

best present i've ever received is this year's birthday/christmas gift, which is money that grants me the ability to go to leakycon 2014. best present i've ever given is questionable because i haven't really been sending people gifts for that long so i'm going to have to say i don't know.

8) favourite childhood book?

alanna, from the song of the lioness trilogy. read it when i was eight and from then on there was no going back. tamora pierce is my favorite.

9) favourite pizza topping?

black olives.

10) if you were the opposite gender, what would you want your name to be?

i have no idea. given naming traditions in this family, it'd probably be john, and i suppose i wouldn't mind that too much.

11) most played song on itunes or whatever else you use?

2013.

Some things were good. Lots of things were bad. 

I got to ride again, which was one of the best things that has happened to me in a long time. I jumped for the first time since November of 2009, discovered that my seat is as good as it ever was even if my muscle is lacking, and found a trainer that I like. 

At the same time, it's not the same thing as riding with Mandy, who I think I'll probably always miss. It also didn't help having to give riding up in mid-September because of medical issues and M leaving the barn. I'm going to miss Mo the Moose a lot when I go back to riding.

I became better friends (I think) with a lot of people from the DW and Smillan fandoms, and that makes me really happy. At the same time, I lost a lot of respect for many people from the DW fandom because of their attitude towards those who dislike Clara (such as myself) and if it weren't for the fact that I like most of their posts and Tumblr saviour is a thing, I'd probably have unfollowed by now. This makes me very sad, because these were people that I used to hold in the highest regard and it's not very nice to have people that you look up to and respect make blanket statements about a group of people that you just so happen to be a part of, so not really thrilled about that. (Yes, I know some people's criticisms of her are problematic. My criticism of her is just that she rubs me the wrong way and I don't like her. It's as simple as that.)

I found out that Milan is one of the best people I know, and I don't hesitate to say that she and Stephanie are two of the greatest people I've had the fortune to talk to. They're both amazing and sweet and wonderful and I love them dearly :3 

(Milan, dear, thank you for listening to me complain about horses and boys and all of that crap because I honestly don't know where I'd be without you this year, and I hope one day we can actually meet each other and go for a ride together.) 

I'm terrified for 2014, terrified about leaving home and going to college (even if I'll only be twenty minutes away), and I'm just not sure how to feel.

I will say that I'm thrilled about having the chance to go to LeakyCon again, and I'm so excited to finally meet Stephanie (and hopefully Ary and Kara) and see Laura again. Fingers crossed the prospect of Leaky gets me through the rest of the school year, because I'm not looking forward to it.

(You four make my life better and I love you even if I don't talk to some of you that much and I just want you to know that. Also, Ary, one day we're going to ride together too, because I like horses and I like you and both together would be great.)

Who knows. Maybe I'll have a better outlook tomorrow, but right now I just don't feel so great.

attention followers i am going to see the hobbit tomorrow with a boy that i am basically 99.825% sure likes me who is usually nice but i also want to punch sometimes because he can be super annoying and there were supposed to be three of us but my other friend bailed on me because church is a thing so if i die tomorrow i leave my blog to stephanie and milan (i'll leave you guys the password in my will) and i wish you all the best okay i love you.

24) Favorite part of your daily routine?

Probably the hour or so before I go to bed. I read and listen to music and talk to people and it's just really nice and relaxing.

This is closely followed by driving to and from school because dance parties in the car.

50) What was the color of the last hoodie you wore?

Grey. I only own two hoodies and they're both grey.

123) Can you keep white shoes clean?

Most of the time, unless a freak rain shower happens. I just don't wear them when it's muddy.

so normally i wouldn't post something like this but i decided to record myself on my camera whilst i played this song this evening because i learned to play it a couple days ago and i'm in love with it and idk i haven't posted me singing anything in a really long time so here's this.

i was doing precalc homework and i realized that i didn't remember how i works... had to think about it for an hour before i understood again. awkward.

i have my first take-home of the year due tomorrow and i forgot to bring home my notes this weekend so i'm sort of staring at some of these problems and going "uhh wut" and it's a bit of a problem
