Long summer days are here, which means more time to get outside and have fun, and soak in some Vitamin D. For this month of our @BabyZenUSA partnership we are sharing 4 fun outdoor ideas to do with your little ones during summer vacation. . Summer grilling. Maybe not too original, but often overlooked. Don’t sweat the complicated recipes. Just grilled vegetables hot and steamy off the barbecue will taste amazingly delicious, and kids love them. We just took some basic foods like stalks of broccoli, carrots with the tops, peppers, multi-grain hotdog buns, basic condiments, and even our pickiest eaters devoured it before it got to the plate. . Fly some kites. It doesn’t matter if there is any wind. Trust me, when it comes to small kids, just the fact of running around with the kite behind them is the funnest thing in the world. (Tip: don’t buy an expensive one, just get a cheap something, this way you can get the best of both worlds). . Ball games. Grab a couple of inexpensive balls of different sizes. Google a few different games you can play. Our personal favorites are hot potato, our personal version of soccer, because I’m sure we are not playing it right. Kick the Can (in this case a ball) is another fun one the kids love. . Wildlife scavenger hunt. This is a fun one that everyone loves to get involved with. The kids choose some different bugs and plants ahead of time and they try to see how many they can find and recognize. . Whatever activity you choose, make sure you remember to have a good protection from the sun. A very helpful way to protect the baby in the stroller is to have a parasol attached.
