I closed the tab a couple hours ago and I don’t know if I could find it again, and like, seriously - I don’t want to start drama with a total stranger on a months-old post? I’ll say something if I run into it again, which I likely will, but in the meantime, I just... life is too short to dig through 800 pages of my history specifically to get in an argument. Especially because I don’t think it’s coming from a place of malice, which, I understand why there are people who care a lot less about that, but for me it is a factor.

Yeah, I should have been clearer I wasn’t cosigning that bit, it was mostly the “but queer = weird!” repetition that I felt the need to snark at.
Like, if you can’t read a piece of text that was written before a word gained it’s usage as a slur without snickering at the previous usage of the word, it’s not a word that’s available for use in its previous usage. That’s how that kind of linguistic drift works.
