it’s weird. you spend your whole life with someone , you expect a short break would change nothing ; so why does he feel like scott and he are strangers all of a sudden. not too much has changed. sure , they’re older , a little wiser ( but not too much ) scott realised who he really was and stiles grew out a beard. but they were still them , so why was this so . . . awkward ?
“ you look good , man. “ he says as he draws his best friend into a hug and patting his back. “ weird being back huh ? “ a question to try and gauge if it was as awkward for scott as it was for him. tongue flicks out over his lip and he clears his throat. “ you uh , you wanna grab a drink ? “
