Sometimes the path that we take isn't always the most traditional one, and that can be an interesting lesson to learn. I'll admit that this was something hard for me to learn. As I continue to pursue the things that I enjoy and cast aside the notion that your career should be the thing that is fulfilling your life, I am finding myself re-discovering my sense of identity. For years I prided myself on doing what others wanted, reaching achievements, and "making it happen".... but I was also burnout, exhausted, and felt very lonely on this journey. I found that while I gained a sense of accomplishment from these things, I never felt fulfilled by them. My 2021 year has been anything but ordinary. I've grown friendships, let some go, gained new hobbies, and stepped away from activities that no-longer fulfilled me. Along the way, I'm starting to finally learn who Karley is and what she wants out of life. While the first step into the unknown was one of the scariest I have made, I am so grateful for all of the growth I've had along this journey. While I will acknowledge that there is still much to learn, I am grateful for having the courage to forge my own path. Have you forged your own path in the things that fulfill you?
