Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Pink food coloring. Edible gold dust for decoration.
Instructions: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Add a few drops of pink food coloring to achieve the desired shade. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use ninja-themed cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once the cookies are completely cool, lightly brush them with edible gold dust for a touch of shimmer and decoration.
