DAY 4 PRAISE DECLARATION:
THE PLAN OF BLESSING
PRAISE INSPIRATION:
1 Of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, 3 who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, 4 who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, 5 who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. - Psalm 103:1-5 (NKJV)
PRAISE REVELATION:
There is a blessing to being a believer in the day and age we live. With so much fear and panic that's surrounding us today and alarming questions concerning life and death daily at our doorstep or mobile phones, a word of hope is what we need. Our only encouragement is found in the Word of God, as we lean in to hear God's voice, and put our trust in His perfect plan. There is no doubt that God wants to bless every one of us, despite the current pandemic spreading in our world! Sadly enough, not everyone is aware that God has a plan of BLESSING in place for all of His people, and if they do, they lack the knowledge of how to acquire or experience it. From the beginning days of creating humanity in the garden of Eden, our Heavenly Father has made His plan known. He desires to bless us so that we become fruitful and multiply in the earth. He wants to bless our lives, our families, and even our influence as His chosen people. When we realize how blessed we are, it becomes easy to praise the Lord for his many blessings. Every day that we wake up, we must recognize that we are blessed. The last Psalm of the Bible reflects this idea when it says, "let everything that has breath praise the Lord! (Psalm 150:6)". We have breath in our lungs, the activity of our limbs, food on our tables, and purpose running through our veins. We are blessed people, beyond the shadow of a doubt! This Psalm of David uses the Hebrew root, "barakh" ברך, which means to bend the knee, to give us a word picture of what it means to be blessed! Bowing before someone of high authority to receive a blessing from their voice, their hand, or even their royal scepter was considered a posture of blessing. The prophets and priests of Israel would also take a ram's horn in their hands, fill it with anointing oil, and pour fresh oil upon the heads of those they intended to anoint or bless. For a person to receive a blessing in the biblical days, bending their knee showed their willingness to come under divine authority. Humility and submission crowned the receiver with many rewards. True worshipers are always willing to bend their knee to God and bow before His throne. David understood the plan and purpose of blessing, which empowered him to bend his knee daily to God and His sovereign will. Think of all the benefits that your Heavenly Father has given you and how blessed you are. Doesn't His love and compassionate kindness towards you and your family prove that He has a divine plan? Jeremiah 29:11 declares that God knows the plans that He has for us, which are plans to give us a future and a hope! How can you not praise the Lord for all of His astounding miracles in your life? One day every knee will bow to Him, so let's start practicing now and bless the Lord every day as we see His plan of blessing fulfilled!
