The start, The End and Everything In-between
When I write about love
I write confession.
I write about how
YOU
are the start, the end and everything in-between.
I write about how I might never love like this again
with fierce addiction, relentless and irrevocably,
or how you might love someone else
and forget about me.
I confess the torment undergone in longing for you,
I find words for my sighs
and I articulate my cries.
I express the way my heart breaks in a way that keeps it whole.
I remember being without you
I remember being alone.
I write about how I hope you'd change my mind
or your own,
like a cliche romance.
I write about your skin and how it tickles the palm of my hand
and how we sleep in ways only we can
I write about how you burn inside me
and leave holes in my flesh.
Oh, and I write.
About how your kisses have spoken
words I don't understand,
How I can taste our memories on your lips,
see them through your eyes,
I never want to say goodbye.
But still I write, I confess
And I never stop.
For once a poet loves you,
they have stained your name boldly in ink
on a plain white wall.
I write confession
when I write about love.
and I must confess,
that I love you like you're
the start
the end
and everything in-between.
4 Questions
Why do we waste our time?
I'm
stuck in the middle of a century
How do we live our lives?
I've
given it all so I can die again
Ever been to paradise?
Eyes
caught in the middle of a fallacy
But who could believe in you?
Who?
When you've given away your lies
The crow
I hold in my hand
the bird that pecked at my wounds
with the power to crush it
with all my might
but I would do so in spite
of all that I need.
I hold in my hand
a lifeless being,
with fragile bones begging to be broke
with rotten teeth
and festering flesh,
a silent death
to which I open my palms
to let fly away
and let go
I think I'm in love with you
It rains
the first night she lays in my bed
she stays
in my arms whole and solid
I sway
in her direction as she breathes.
The days
move by like smoke in the wind
I pray
she stays tattooed to my skin
I think
I'm in love with you
I say
Nothing.
I said I think: "I'm in love with you"
but I say nothing.
Hurricane Love
It was your skin against mine
my fingers on your spine
your nails in my back
Us against time.
It was my demon breathing heavily
your volcanic spirit set free.
Why you tried to contain yourself
I just don't know.
When our words rub against one another
in a passionate hurricane love
You in my path
I in yours
Our fury wind
sways the other away
Jigsaw
Puzzle pieces perfectly fit
complete but never whole.
Needs no paint
Needs no canvas
Picture perfect souls.
Stronger than alone,
but a gust of wind
and i'm on my own,
Puzzle pieces perfectly fit
but no strength
like a picture never jigsawed
I will suffocate you
You said that you missed breathing
when you missed me
You missed the feel of your own skin
You missed your own reflection
All I missed was you
You said you would miss breathing
when you would miss me
You would miss how my back would bend
how I’d see no fault or flaw in you
I would see only murmurs of you escape me
I thought you would miss me
when you would miss you in me
from my voice you spoke
and from my sweat you seeped
from my lungs you breathed
and from you I lived
I wished that you missed me
when you missed breathing
I promised to give to you
I promised to cherish you
but all I did was suffocate
