Liara smiled and nodded, her eyes flickering over to the young human pair in front of them. “There is something special about first loves… It’s hard to ever stop loving them, even if you grow apart. Do you remember yours, Kaidan?”

“Uh... yeah, I do,” Kaidan admits, rubbing at the back of his neck. Thinking of Rahna doesn’t bring back the best memories. Both between them, and at that age in general. But he smiles at Liara, crosses his arms. The picture of calm. “How about yours?”

[I always thought some of the asari in the monastery might not have severe mutations, like Morinth and her sisters, but they still tested positive as Ardat-Yakshi. (Besides, how would you test if someone could kill a lover or just give them a bad migraine ethically?) In the black-and-white view of a Justicar, that could technically mean they aren't actual Ardat-Yakshi, thus "there are three," and it could give the Reapers a gene to further mutate. Dunno where I heard that theory, but I like it.]

Also possible yes. We’ve discussed this last night, but basically that would mean @witchascending isn’t that far off when they say not everyone in the monastery would be “pure” Ardat-Yakshi. 

When it comes to testing, we only have Samara’s words (“I sat in a med-lab while a near-sighted doctor droned at me, and I learned nothing is as I thought it would be.”). We also discussed testing here.

A Night On The Town (Closed RP with theprotheanexpert)

     Nights on the Normandy were usually fun, somewhat excitable and most of the time involved drinking games or rather SOMETHING to do. On most nights, everyone in the crew participated. Usually, Kaiden and Ashley would be arguing over which stupid board game to play, Tali and  Garrus would share drinks, and Wrex... Well he would just be Wrex.

      On nights like these, the commander would strike up thought provoking conversations with Liara in order to get a little closer to the Asari. Nothing personal had sparked quite yet, but the little talks were amusing and for the most part stimulating. However, tonight lacked in such innocent banters...

     It was understandable that after such a devastating mission on Noveria that Liara would be hesitant to leave where she was stationed. The woman lost her mother for gods sake... Rising from her spot against one of the walls, Shepard exited the little party room, no one seeming to notice as she slipped through the mechanical doors, and out into the hallway.

     The redhead makes way through the halls before turning into the med bay. Leaning in the doorway, the commander peered in, Chakwas not seeming to be in. Prying eyes wouldn’t really help the situation anyhow. Eventually, Jane moves through the room and makes her way into the back of the room, knocking on a locked door.

       —”Liara, you okay? I just wanna talk.”

@theprotheanexpert i have been following you since is tarted here in merp and honest to god you’re still one of my favourite people. your voice for liara is so dead on and perfect. and like you’re one of the nicest people in the community somehow???? i have no idea how you do it, but you deserve so much happiness and amazing things honestly. i will likely be following you on your blog and reading all of your threads until hell freezes over.

     The items trip from her fingertips in a comical joust.

     A trespasser invaded the vanguard’s comfort zone by adding heat to an unsettling face. Five digits pressing against a scarred counter, rightfully alienating her disfigurement.

     The texture of her skin feels dissimilar. A tad drier compared to humans, with finer customization lined up against the flatness of her palm. The Asarian archaeologist appears surprised, as if she hadn’t anticipated the human’s reaction. But no matter, it’s not like slender glass was spilt on the floor before them. The only distribution of artifacts had been scarce things. Layers made from paper that were colored with bright ink.

     “Is there something on my face?” Neala comments aloud. 

     The whole situation had been strange, mostly because Liara’s personality has always been so reserved.
