The tomb was empty! I struggle with Easter - I find it hard to believe in Christ’s resurrection literally. Whether or not one believes in a literal rising or not, the story of a resurrection is still important I am vital to my understanding of the world. One of my motto is is that as long as we are alive, we can start again. I feel like I am in a period of resurrection, myself. A part of my life is over, not totally over, but mostly. I start a job working for drug court in a week and it will give me more energy and time to invest in speaking engagements, recovery workshops, Conventions and art fairs. I want to spend my life well. I want to be guided by the sense of renewal I feel. I want to be more in touch with the spiritual on a regular basis. The Pullman - Bunker Bay

So last week hubby to be and I took a quick two night staycation down south and stayed at The Pullman Bunker Bay and it was truly a little slice of paradise.

I have chronic back issues and am always concerned about the quality of the beds and pillows in hotels & resorts, nope, this bed was like sleeping on a cloud, she sheets were also hypoallergenic which is a HUGE bonus for me.

Stepping out of our One bedroom Lake View Villa on to one of our private balconies we over look a cute lake that surprisingly (for this time of year) didn’t attract any mosquito, just tranquility.

The first night there we arrived late, decided to take it easy and watch the sunset on the beach and then just eat at the resort restaurant. A nice and easy meal then chill out and have a nice big day tomorrow. No, oh I was so wrong, I was over the moon. Quite literally as the restaurant is named “Over the Moon”.

Each dish that came out was more exquisite than the last, the wine was phenomenal, the service impeccable, so much so that we ate their both nights of our two night stay,

My top three wineries: Knee Deep, Howard Park & House of Cards. If you make it to House of Cards ensure to pop into the chocolate factory next door for some phenomenal free samples.

I wouldn’t even bother attempting to try the “new Duckstein” once famous for it’s amazing lunches has now been bought out, renamed Black & Co and has lowered their food standards quite substantially, great presentation, awful taste.

I highly recommend a visit if you can, I know that I certainly will be returning as often as I can.
