It wasn't until after speaking with the asari councilor that Jon looked for Liara. A helpful nudge from Traynor guided him to the engineering deck where he found her ready to rip Javik apart. With his own incredibly frayed nerves he somehow managed to talk them down, and then he was after Liara again, searching her out.

He found her in her quarters, seemingly trying to bury herself back in work. She was near frantic with it, ordering Glyph about. "Liara..." Jon's expression was pained. "Liara."
