Sometimes, my cat is a real bitch. She chews up my shoes and toilet paper. She rips holes in the shades and leaves fur everywhere. But sometimes, she’s the only form of emotional support I can count on. And the other day, when the weight of recent disappointments and renewed hopelessness was bearing down on me... she refused to let me out of her sight. She perched on my lap and nuzzled me. Only when I felt slightly better, did she let me be. Cats don’t get enough credit for being affectionate and caring. And I can only speak from my experience.
