♣ Is there an author(s) that you look up to with your writing skills?
there are so many authors that i admire, but i don’t think there’s one i try to model my writing after ?? at least, i think that’s what this question is asking. but as for favorites idk i could throw a ton at you but one of my ultimates is kazuo ishiguro. never let me go is incredible, as is remains of the day. i also enjoy really well written screenplays idk there are a bunch like i can’t even think rn but i’m a film major and i think i really want to explore screenwriting more and just yeah when i write i’m starting to think more like a screenwriter than anything else, so i think just that method of writing is something i aspire towards, if that makes any sense.
♧ Is there an RP partner(s) that you credit for becoming a better writer?
i don’t know if there’s anyone i credit so to speak, but there are a few people who i’ve written with that when seeing their replies i feel challenged as a writer, which i l o v e, because it motivates me to rise to their level. one of the first people i wrote with that really made me feel that way is theraspberryroom and i miss kari so much. her voice is so distinctly her and just yeah ugh getting replies back to our threads was the best thing bc idk she’s just so fab. also, wordsthatfracturejaws definitely has that same sort of effect on me. mads’ writing is absolutely incredible and she crafts so many muses in such distinct ways and i’m just in awe.
