lol
Actually I went back in to fix a little bit of what I ended up unhappy with. Nobody can explain why I already shared the attack when I was still not happy with it-
+ alt light + assets I made for this piece (free of use ig? I don't intend to recycle them in any another piece, so have em)
(looks like the man's coming straight from hell omg-)
hehe
OH ALSO- (get used to me rambling atp) I personally vibe a lot with this soundtrack but maybe just me, + this and this played on repeat for a very long time during the creation so that may have inspired it in a way to begin with
very pleased about wide wallpapers rn
There is a hell believe me I've seen it, there is a heaven let's keep it a secret
🌹 A Room the Devil Had Prepared for Me
By St. Teresa of Ávila
Feast Day • Doctor of the Church • Carmelite Mystic
“One day while in prayer, I suddenly found myself plunged into hell.
The Lord willed that I should see the place the devils had prepared for me —
the punishment I had deserved by my sins.”
🔥 The Vision
St. Teresa saw a long, narrow passage, like a burning furnace —
dark, foul, and filled with horrors.
At the end was a small hollow in the wall, a narrow cell — her prison.
She wrote:
“The ground was filthy mud, alive with vermin.
The air was poison.
The walls pressed in so tightly I could not move or breathe.
There was no light, yet everything painful to see was visible.”
But the greatest torment was not physical.
It was the fire within the soul — the despair, the separation from God.
“I felt myself burning and being torn apart,
and I understood there would be no end, no hope, no comfort.
The fire of this world is nothing compared to that of hell.”
⸻
💔 The Mercy
“Our Lord made me feel those torments so that I might know
the mercy by which He saved me from them.”
That brief moment changed her forever.
She said even after six years, her body still trembled at the memory —
but her soul burned with gratitude.
“From that day, all sufferings on earth seemed nothing to me.
I complain without reason.
The vision destroyed my fear of trials and filled me with strength.”
⸻
🔥 Her Zeal for Souls
Seeing hell made her love souls with fiery compassion:
“To save even one soul from such torment,
I would gladly die a thousand deaths.”
She pleaded with us to flee sin and live in holiness:
“No soul should take rest or pleasure while in danger of mortal sin.
Let us avoid all occasions of sin — and God will help us.”
⸻
🕊️ Her Resolution
“After this vision I longed to do penance,
to live my vocation perfectly,
and to give myself entirely to God.”
⸻
✨ Reflection
St. Teresa’s vision is not meant to terrify,
but to awaken hearts to God’s mercy and the reality of eternity.
Her life became a living testimony that
God’s love is stronger than hell, and His mercy rescues even the unworthy.
⸻
🙏 Prayer
“Blessed forever be Thou, O my God,
who hast loved me more than I loved Thee.
Never let me fall from Thy hands.”
🕯️ St. Teresa of Ávila, pray for us.
May we live with the holy fear of offending God,
and the burning desire to bring souls to His mercy.
