18. Underwater kiss
“Okay, on the count of three…”
Audrey, in one of her rare adventurous moods, had practically dragged Jase out of the dance studio after he was finished giving his dance class, and drove them to a lake she had found in the middle of nowhere. This explained why they currently stood on a small cliff that overlooked the lake, ready to jump.
“One…” Audrey began with an excited grin, but Jase had something else planned. Before Audrey could even count to two, Jase had his arm wrapped tightly around her waist and jumped off yelling “Three!” with Audrey in his arms. Once they landed and popped out from underwater, Jase burst out laughing, causing Audrey to glare at him, crossing her arms.
“You should’ve seen your face!” He started, exaggeratedly trying to imitate the face Audrey had made when they jumped off the cliff. “Shut up!” Audrey’s cheeks went red, but Jase continued laughing. Soon, a small smirk appeared on the girl’s lips. Guess she’d have to shut him up herself. Quickly, she grabbed Jase by his shoulders, shoving him underwater and followed after him, but after seeing he still had a goofy grin plastered on his face, she swam to him, crashing her lips against his. Jase, of course, reacted instantly, wrapping his arms around Audrey’s waist as they surfaced. “You should shut me up more often.” He mumbled with a small grin as they pulled away, earning a splash of water to his face from Audrey, who started swimming away, laughing as Jase chased after her.
