With only three chapters left to write, I commissioned cover art this morning for The Good Counselor from ms.morgan who did the stunning covers for Receiver of Many and Destroyer of Light.

It’s on the docket and everything just go so much more real.

- Rachel Alexander (@therkalexander author of Receiver of Many, Destroyer of Light, and other short stories) is posting new chapters of The Good Counselor! Her books are the most poetic, hot, well written sex ever plus it uses so much in depth mythological detail with descriptive story telling of characters and a romance she has made her own. 

She also has been so responsive to fan questions online, encouraging other writers, sharing advice, and did me the huge honor of recommending my work!

- Rachel Smythe (@usedbandaid - artist of comic Lore Olympus on Webtoon) - is posting new chapters this week! Her art style makes such beautiful use of color and texture, and her story telling is equal parts compelling, fun, and emotionally resonant.

I’m a huge fan and was so happily surprised when she posted a hilarious panel in response to an excerpt of my writing. It was the first “break” I’d ever gotten from a Tumblr post and was so exciting to me! She has also been so supportive of sharing fan art and cosplay on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr and responding to fans on Discord.

- After listening to the soundtrack for months, I finally saw Anais Mitchell’s Hadestown open on Broadway! It was so amazing: the cast and the music is great, the story is presenting the myth in a fun unique way, and the poetry of the songs is so incredible, striking, and relevant.

i just saw Receiver of Many might be getting a tv show or movie adaptation and burst into tears

Hi Rachel!! I hope you’re doing and I can’t wait too read The Good Counselor when it debuts! Until then I’m rereading Destroyer of Light and I found the interaction between Aphrodite and Persephone interesting when Aphrodite mentions split souls referring to Persephone and Hades and my spiritual mind immediately thought of Twin Flames type of thing! Will we get to see more of Aphrodite and Persephone interactions in The Good Counselor!?

You will DEFINITELY get to see more of them interacting in The Good Counselor! I frankly love the dynamic they have together in the actual mythos and wanted to build on that in this book.

Correct!

R has been doing the Big Initial Edit on my books since the very beginning.

He started looking over and editing my work when we were dating and while we were engaged, and we got married on the Autumnal Equinox between the writing of Receiver of Many and Destroyer of Light. His input and voice in my work has been invaluable.
