Les Mis (musical) where everything is the same but Valjean steals his money back from the Thernardiers. Because I took my mom to rewatch it in West End, a few days ago, and for a moment, I mistook the actor's gesture as this scenario and I thought it was hilarious. Think about it: everything would come full circle. Who better to outsmart the thieves than the OG Thief? It would add a nice "rule of threes" to the musical. He steals the loaf of bread. He steals the silver. He steals from the people who tried to steal from him / everyone. And it would explain why Thernardier wanted to fight / steal from him years later. And, I cannot stress this enough, it would be hilarious!
