Dinosaurs without hats!!! . October long weekend adventure had us in the Outback of Queensland looking for Dinosaurs!!! . Pulling into Allen Terry Caravan Park in Hughenden late Friday afternoon it was a slightly simple setup for us this time as we decided to swag it up. Unpacking #TheRoK took a few minutes and we had everything in place for a comfy little place to rest our weary bones. . Rolling out of the swags early Saturday morning, we reminded Joel that he had crept another year closer to retirement and handed him some amazing birthday presents, which for someone who doesn’t like birthdays and presents was very pleased. . The rest of the day had us adventuring around Hughenden and Richmond visiting all the street art, Dinosaur statues, Museums and town plaques learning some amazing things about the region. . Sunday in the car early making our way into Winton to take a tour of the @australianageofdinosaurs ,which needs to be on everyone's list to do as its incredible. We did the Ultimate Dinosaur tour which includes a guided tour of the Collection Room, Fossil Preparation Laboratory, the March of the Titanosaurs exhibition and a self-guided walk of Dinosaur Canyon. On the way back to camp we stopped at the Musical fence and added Winton to our return list as we didn’t get a chance to go to the @waltzingmatildacentre , Lark Quarry Dinosaur Stampede and others, but those will be for the next Adventure. . Monday was pack up day and out to Porcupine Gorge to view an amazing sight and point out some of the things we had learnt from our museum visits or tours. . So what is with our title for this adventure?? Quite simple really... We would have donned our heads with our awesome Barmah hats, the boys left them at home, so the saying for the whole weekend was “Do you know what would be good right now?.....Hats” .
