When the two of them arrived in the park, he’d had no intention of kissing Marinette, but then it just sort of... happened. It almost felt like it was something that was long overdue. After he had come out to Marinette, both gender-wise and Chat Noir-wise, the two of them began spending more and more time together. It was obvious to everyone but each other that they were both hopelessly in love.

His hair slightly damp from being caught in the rain -- Paris needed to calm down with its erratic weather patterns -- the duo huddled together under the trees and it just... happened. But it felt very right to him, even if Marinette was a bit clumsy. It was sort of endearing, in a way. Adrien laughed gently, the corners of his eyes crinkling as her thumb brushed against his lip.

“Eh, it doesn’t matter what my father thinks,” he said softly, the words surprising him a bit. Just a couple of months ago that phrase would have never even formed in his mind, let alone rolled off his tongue with such ease.

One of his arms rested around Marinette’s waist and the other gently cupped her face, which he brought up to brush a few stray hairs from her eyes. After a moment, he wrapped both of his arms around her middle and drew Marinette into a warm hug, resting his chin on her shoulder. The tension that he had become used to holding in his body eased, and for once he felt himself relax.

“Thank you,” he heard himself whisper.
