when will barchies realise that someone or a ship being vanilla doesn't even mean they're boring/repetitive/whatever, what's not clicking. one of the things that makes bughead not "vanilla" is their common interest in investigating, true crime, murder etc. what does barch*e have? playing guitar and writing songs? wearing matching pink & blue cardigans?🤡

also, did we change the definition of vanilla? is common interests and compatibility now vanilla in their eyes? what is forcing something that won’t work out because of childhood nostalgia then? vanilla extract?

and listen, if betty had shown any interest in archie’s music past being a supportive friend (aka veronica is the one who is actively invested in his music), i’d give them that. she’s shown none of it though. archie doesn’t care much about investigating past helping betty or jughead when they need it and neither of them care about his music or sports past being a friend. were they unaware of that? i mean...i thought it was clear.

not to be a dick tho, but like, all riverdale ships are pretty vanilla. it’s a teen show so of course they are. i have a whole list of enemies to lovers ships and even most of those are on the vanilla end of the spectrum of what i’ve seen other people ship. these poor b/archies need to get some perspective before they start the vanilla pot calling the vanilla kettle black.
