{{ #these3 have served me well for 2 months now. 🎃 Halloween & Thanksgiving this diverse group has endured pats from small hands & nose pushes from one possum & several meandering cats as witnessed on my security cam. }} #somepinkflowers 🌸 What do you do with your uncut ‘holiday’ pumpkins ? 👋🏽🙂🍂 I usually set mine out in my wildflower garden & take a WaitAndSee Attitude. 😀 Last year i was surprised that 2 of the three sat completely still & seemingly unchanged up thru March. Then I noticed vines grow thing out the bottom as they say amongst the wild petunias. 🌸 I picked one up & it surprised me in its lightness. It was hollow ‼️ Both of the pumpkins were hollow. Now I’m thinking they were actually very large gourds — not pumpkins at all — & by an act of nature they had been entered & eaten completely from the inside‼️ I still have them in my studio waiting for what comes next. #ilovenature & her ways most of the time. These 3. Last week was full of turmoil, uncertainty, hospital visits, school functions, upholstery, laughter, smiles, tears...and love. These 3 have us running in every direction, half the time last minute, but then days like yesterday happen and the world is set right again. An easy Easter breakfast followed up by hours in the garden, reading stories, hanging out in a hammock and playing in the tent. When they say it was a good day before they say goodnight it makes it all okay.
