Vampires were nothing more than a myth – a scary idea that authors and movie producers explored to draw in fans of horror and gore because who didn’t like a good vampire story? Noctis certainly did. His friend Prompto would often crash at his apartment and they would stay up most of the night scaring themselves senseless watching horror movies.

They were just stories though.

Or at least that was what he had thought.

It was late when Noctis started to walk home, having picked up a few extra shifts at work to help with rent and college fees. His father was incredibly wealthy and Noct could turn to him for financial aid but he didn’t want to be some trust fund brat.

He wanted to put himself through college.

He pretty sure that everyone felt a little paranoid walking home alone, late at night, but Noctis couldn’t help the feeling that he wasn’t alone. A quick glance around assured him that he was just imagining things and he pushed the thought out of his mind.

He was only ten minutes or so away from his apartment anyway.

He called himself Noctis. When last he walked around the world, it was only him, Athena, another male and another female of ‘their kind’. They’d parted ways, the four of them, venturing around the globe. The world had been cold then, and raw. Just vast forms of wilderness, either in forest, rolling hills, vast plains and vaster deserts where creatures of all form and sizes roamed. 

Athena’s belly started swelling, and their children came one after the other. They had six. The world got steadily colder, and when their children were grown, they started to leave too, venturing out on their own. Eventually Athena became worn down, and retreated into the ice, and Noctis, left alone, lingered for some years before he too, retreated into the sea. 

A great passage of time swirls around him this way, though he hears the world change despite being locked in his lightless sleep. The world got noisier. The great growls and howls of the mighty creatures that roamed it eventually replaced by the clamor of a differing kind. Voices. Howls. Something metallic. The grinding of wheels and cogs, and machines.

He wakes, and he finds himself by the outcrop of jagged mountains. The sea he retreated into has long gone, and here, on top of the world, there is ice. He sniffs the air and he smells the odors of civilization. Humans and lycans, the scent of dying flesh and wet dogs. 

Noctis makes his way to a town, and there he feeds. A hunter in a world he no longer knows is aware of the wisdom of discretion, and he hides the body where it may not be found. He inspects the strange raiment the victim wore, and he gets into it. He finds round metal tokens, some form of currency, perhaps. 

He makes his way steadily south, all senses attuned to this new world of strange structures, strange machines, unearthly sounds and stinking fumes. He learns their language too, gathering words and full sentences and usage as he ventures west. 

Eventually he finds himself in suburban settings. Walking down the street at night, no shirt on, because the shirt he’d previously stolen had given up on wear and tear. He’ll need a new one soon.

Her breath hitched a little when Ignis was ever so kind enough to follow through with her request. Having a corset under her armor always helped her deal with the chafing of the leather she wore daily on the filed. Upon hearing his compliment, a soft chuckle left the snowy dragoon as her head turned for a second. “Thank you. It didn’t come naturally, that’s for sure. Years as a mercenary -- forcing yourself onto the field against daemons, will do that to you. Ah...don’t be afraid to make the ribbons too tight. I’d rather have this corset tight than lose. Wearing lose fabric under a armor is rather uncomfortable.”

 “Come be not afraid. For I can bring you peace~” The Infernian echoed his words, hiding the sneer of darkness in sugar coated words of seduction.

Werewolf Gladio AU

He’s a big, dark brown, really fluffy wolf.

When he shifts willingly, he has control on his actions, but could fall under his instincts. When he has to transform during the full moon, he only operates on instincts and whatever that wolf wants to do.

As made with @captaindrautos, Gladio joins the pack of Kingsglaive werewolves on full moons. Titus was the one who bit him and infected him. Titus is an even bigger wolf than Gladio.

Whenever he gets out of the rain, he smells awful. He will use a lot of cologne to try and hide the wet dog smell.

Gladio has killed someone. And eaten someone. It was a full moon, it was a bad night, Gladio had to throw it all up.

Ignis stops Prompto with a gentle hand upon his shoulder, wanting to discuss something. "Are you feeling well, Prompto? You're looking a little pallid."

“Huh? Yeah, I’m alright.” It’s not a lie, Prompto is alright, a little tired, a little dizzy, but alright. “I mean, it’s not great to get kidnapped by snake women, but what can you do right? That’s just the life we live now, I’m pretty sure I’m alright though Iggy. No need to worry about me!”
