Fuu zipped through the sky, her wings carrying her speedily over the vast acres of hot sand. It was important that she cross this dessert in time--before it was too late.
She’d heard the rumors musing about her village; someone was attacking the jinchuuriki. Word on the street was each vessel of the bijuu was being individually ambushed, then abducted.Had another foe emerged ready to steal their power?
But rumors alone would not have been enough to stir Fuu into such hasty action. No, she could feel it--feel the spikes and drops of bijuu chakra, the swells and dips alike. She could feel pain, intense pain, coming from the others. It was a connection that only the nine of them shared, and she wondered if by now they were all aware of the danger they were in.
Fuu had taken it upon herself to check on each jinchuuriki personally. She was not about to let some power-hungry monster hurt her friends--that’s what friends were for! And so, unable to think of a better way to go about it than in numerical order, she was on her way to Suna to see the Kazekage, Gaara, the guardian of the one-tailed beast.
She was barely a few kilometers from The Village Hidden in the Sand when she spotted a cloaked figure down below. He was dressed entirely in black robes, and seemed, to Fuu, to be heading in the direction of nowhere.
Kind-hearted little thing that she was, Fuu slowed her speed, readjusting her course to meet the traveler. This could be a new friend, after all!
“Hello there!” she called down to the traveler as she approached him. “I’m Fuu of the Hidden Waterfall! What’s your name? Are you lost?”
