Agent Murphy is reminded that she may not rig the PA system at any SHIELD base or installation to play polka music or nursery rhymes during P.T. or any other activity requiring a cadence be called.
While it was amusing to watch the latest group attempt to call “Brown Bear, Brown Bear” during their morning PT, it was downright painful to watch the afternoon group try to keep up with the “Beer Barrel Polka.”

He was getting in too deep, the pain and the anger and grief all swarming in his mind till he wasn’t so sure he was just ‘undercover’ anymore, “…Leave now, Murphy.”
His fingers twitched at his side as he turned away from her, dreaded knowing lurking inside him that things would turn bloody if he stayed even another moment.

Murphy doesn’t know about Merc.
I know she knows that something happened to me and I know she’s seen signs of it. She’s never asked questions. She’s never looked at me differently. She met me after it happened. It’s almost a relief to not see that familiar look of sympathy. I hate that look.
She’s different. I can be comfortable around her.
Someday, though, she’s going to find out. I’m going to mumble something in my sleep or she’s going to be there when I wake up screaming. She’s going to want to take a shower with me or she’ll say something that will trigger me.
I don’t know when but it’s coming.
But I know she’ll be there.
Or… I hope she will. I can’t ask her to stay when she knows all the obstacles.
