Let's do the Timewarp! | Past!Volkner&Sabrina
It was a transregional meeting.
To Sabrina, all it meant was a day wasted on gossiping with other gym leaders from other regions that she wanted nothing to do with, but it was part of her cover. She needed to learn how to co-operate with those not part of Team Rocket; it wasn't good to stick her nose up to every Jim and Joe that decided to walk up and speak to her.
--And for some Mew-forsaken reason, her gym was forced volunteered to host. Because of it, her gym was set in such a festive manner that made the psychic cringe every time she left her room. Never again, she inwardly swore, never again would it be this way. It was the only thing that was kept as she was accustomed to--a dark and heavy atmosphere with paths lit by psychic energy or candle light. A trail of incense kept it fairly 'light' in her eyes, no where near as bright as the festivities outside the door and its loud pounding, but enough not to put a strain and for her to forget her place.
It would be time, soon enough, for guests to arrive. Of course, they would be staying at some hotel within Saffron, as the gym would only be able to cater to these bonding exercises, but she wasn't able to reverse the changes within the gym brought on by the festivities.
It would only be one region's leaders visiting.
Those from Sinnoh would get to see the cool spring weather of Kanto's Golden City, and she'd watched from a distance as each one made it inside the warmth of the gym. With the way she was scrutinizing each and everyone of them, her gaze might have been considered sharp and even rude, but she was merely comparing them to the notes she had mentally taken from her research.
With her discomfort of more people within what she deemed was her personal lair, she had allowed herself to research them, getting the basics of information found in public archives that she believed she required to be able to interact with them in an efficient manner. There had been another young gym leader written in the list, a particular blond that had a few quirks himself. The blurb the file had given her suggested they would be able to get along, but she hadn't seen him just yet. So she kept her watch, only greeting those she knew and got along well enough while ignoring all the rest.
