What bar in Lubbock do werewolves avoid? That's an easy one. The Silver Bullet. Though I drink very little these days, my good friend Bob and I try to have a beer early on Friday afternoons, and that's generally where we go. That happens about half the time, as I don't go if I have a Friday afternoon photo shoot. When we first started going there, it was a small dive that it has been for a very long time. Not the worst dive by far, but it did probably have a bit of a reputation. I used to drop by long ago when I was single. But since then, new ownership and management took over, and things changed. For those who don't know, the original bar was partially remodeled and expanded somewhat, and an entire second section was added next door for later night entertainment. It's really a much different place than it once was, and if you haven't been there in a while, it's worth a visit. Oh, and I think the original reason I dropped by years ago was actually for the greasy old-style hamburgers, and they still make some darn good food. The little photo shoot I did was not a formal one. I did it because I like the place and its staff. But it was terribly casual, unpaid, and spur-of-the-moment. I had a camera and a flash, but probably needed several more strobes and umbrellas. But I did the best I could.
