Scrubb saw that she wasn’t quite herself yet and very sensibly offered her a peppermint. He had one too. Presently Jill began to see things in a clearer light.

“I’m sorry, Scrubb,” she said presently. “I wasn’t fair. You have done all that - this term.”

And I think, that’s symbolic: the children in Experimental House and the rabbits in experiment.

The Silver Chair by C. S. Lewis 3 stars . Probably the weakest of the Narnia books so far. I’m not sure if it’s because I have zero recollection of reading it as a kid, so the Ambrosia of nostalgia is distinctly absent, the fact that I’m an adult reading a children’s book, or maybe it’s because not that much actually happens in it, but it just felt like a shitty reboot of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe with the soul stripped out. Day 1 of #bookstagramtogetherdec is this month’s #TBR list. So my goal this year was 1 book a week (52 for the year) and I’ve actually already read 50! This is a huge accomplishment as a full time teacher and a brand new mama🤩I’ve decided to end the year by finishing my re-read of #thechroniclesofnarnia with #thesilverchair and #thelastbattle 🗡 I also planned to read this little fantasy novel #TheWinterPrince in December, but I ended up finishing it last night! I’m heading back to the classroom on the 12th of this month after 3 months of maternity leave, so I’ve only planned to read these last two books this year. I’m anticipating that returning to work will take up all my free time, plus our family’s schedule is jam packed with events literally all month!
