Puddleglum (The Chronicles of Narnia)
Stanley Pines (Gravity Falls)
rereading the Silver Chair and I think it’s kind of funny that Puddleglum and the kids didn’t realize it was Rilian until they untied him from the chair. Like they knew that he would likely be under the giant city, and they just happen to come across the only human in the underworld, who is coincidentally the same age the prince would be, and he’s blond like a Narnian. Not once does it cross their minds that this guy could be Rilian. “But he said he’d never heard of Narnia-” they already knew that there was a shapeshifting witch involved. Is it so crazy that he could be enchanted? Plus, Eustace knew what Caspian looked like when he was closer to Rilian’s age and there’s canonically a resemblance between the two. Heck, Puddleglum had probably seen Rilian himself before he went missing. Unless Jadis made it so that no one would recognize him for who he was while under the enchantment-
that’s probably what happened. Disregard everything I just said
a concept of Puddleglum in waterproof workwear
Had the chance to go cat-tail willow picking recently.
We wandered around a muddy farm in rubber boots (the amount of wet muck we stepped in would destroy regular shoes), while the younger kids wore a mini version of this type of protective coveralls (boots and pants sealed into one garment).
Suddenly thought of Puddleglum. Wondered if he would wear something like this, since marsh-wiggles live in wetlands/watery areas, after all.
(Is this "period accurate", or is this what some sort of "modern AU " might look like, I don't know. But it's amusing to imagine, and got me drawing again, so...)
Puddleglum in profile. I just love this cranky lanky dude
He's basically my spirit animal. Third best thing that happened to Narnia as a country and book series, after Aslan and Reepicheep.
Puddleglum, Eeyore and Oscar the grouch all serve the same purpose. Its ok to have anxiety, depression and general annoyance at the universe.
You still deserve friends. You can still go on adventures, you still matter.

Being the Cool Aunt for my nieces and nephews <3 I love hanging out with them and knowing they like hanging out with me!
Having a loving family full of people I trust to have my back and who know and love God - especially thankful because I know that many people don't have a close relationship with their families in today's world.
Fun/funny comments on things I've made or shared! (I WILL go back and read the tags and comments on my favorite original posts again)
My house full of fun and kooky stuff like Legos and Mandalorian armor and cool pictures and whatever I feel like decorating with :D
When my doves get EXTRA POOFY LIKE SO JUST LOOK AT THEM!!!!
“”One word, Ma'am," he said, coming back from the fire; limping, because of the pain. "One word. All you've been saying is quite right, I shouldn't wonder. I'm a chap who always liked to know the worst and then put the best face I can on it. So I won't deny any of what you said. But there's one more thing to be said, even so. Suppose we have only dreamed, or made up, all those things-trees and grass and sun and moon and stars and Aslan himself. Suppose we have. Then all I can say is that, in that case, the made-up things seem a good deal more important than the real ones. Suppose this black pit of a kingdom of yours is the only world. Well, it strikes me as a pretty poor one. And that's a funny thing, when you come to think of it. We're just babies making up a game, if you're right. But four babies playing a game can make a play-world which licks your real world hollow. That's why I'm going to stand by the play world. I'm on Aslan's side even if there isn't any Aslan to lead it. I'm going to live as like a Narnian as I can even if there isn't any Narnia. So, thanking you kindly for our supper, if these two gentlemen and the young lady are ready, we're leaving your court at once and setting out in the dark to spend our lives looking for Overland. Not that our lives will be very long, I should think; but that's a small loss if the world's as dull a place as you say.””
