Yesterday was totally fucked and surprisingly ended up being one of the best days I’ve had in a long time. 1) I turned off my 4:30am gym alarm because it was storming like crazy outside and didn’t set a later alarm for work. Still got my lunch together...I ended up technically 2 hrs late for work. 🤦🏻♀️ 2) Misread my schedule and didn’t go to surgery (started at 7:30am). 3) Finally started seeing and charting patients in the clinic, but on the fly when a doc was stuck in the OR. 4) Had/Got to do two central lines (literally watched a YouTube video on US guidance right before, but a doc helped me bedside 🙏🏼), which kept me at work until 7:30pm. 5) Got my ass to the gym and killed it and finished off my macros when I got home at 11:30pm (some people stopped me to me to chat 🙃). IT FEELS SO. 👏🏼FUCKING. 👏🏼GOOD 👏🏼to get shit done. ••• Not too long ago, I would have woken up even 10min late and my day would have been ruined. I would eat shit because I didn’t have time to pack my lunch, I would have a piss-poor attitude, I would be too tired to go to the gym, etc. It has been a PROCESS changing my MINDSET, but it’s one of the best things I’ve dedicated time and effort to. Endlessly grateful for #thesportsmodelproject and still on the climb. 🏔
