three sentence fic: marisa/asriel + the wide brim hat

There is solitude in being part of a crowd, particularly one that started drinking since brunch and is well on their way to oblivion before the end of the summer festival; so Marisa relents to Asriel's circling and tilts her head down to the right.

The small adjustment obscures her face giving Asriel the opportunity to reach for his glass of wine that just happens to be on the patio bench on other side of Mrs. Coulter; and throwing manners aside he reaches over her torso for it falling under the hat brim's spell.

It is a quick kiss, one where the daemons are left out of the exchange, anything more than a moment could risk drawing attention, but for a brief second they are like any other couple enjoying the late sun sharing a public display of affection before going back to soaking in wine and easy conversation.

love your latest posts of every asriel mention in 2x01! was wondering if you have noticed asriel's laboratory stuff in the background of marisa's zeppelin in the beginning of the ep, labelled "asriel belacqua" or simply "AB". his presence is everywhere(:

Lyra&Asriel - ft. Lyra&Marisa and slight Asriel/Marisa

He turned back to his daughter. Her little hand was holding the door ajar. The signage above was freshly painted with added flourish on the lettering to make it stand out. The display clothes were smartly arranged and the fabric looked quality. This store was chicer than he remembered. Or maybe it wasn’t, and only now its true nature was revealing itself to him. Well, he wouldn’t turn around now and bartering is a skill he’d cultivated in recent years.

When a series of events have been unfolding off the page and the reader becomes aware too late, at the climax of all those things. Like ha ha! You fool! Don't you realize we are unknowable to each other and so little is in our control?

17. a book to get u out of a reading slump?

I'm not sure if this means a book I'd re-read to get myself out or I would recommend. So I don't repeat TBA, I'll interpret this as my recommendation to others. Try "Intimacies" because it's short enough not to make you feel tired before you start, and it's good enough it will make you insaaaaane.
