Where is this information coming from, though? Most news stories indicate that it is most likely that he is the bad guy. However, I haven't seen anything to suggest there is any violence towards women. There are two "bumbling" thieves, and they target the wrong house. That's the only info I can find. I'm just curious. He does bad very well. I DO wish he'd play someone "good" though, or at least likable soon. (Maybe he reserves likable for voice for good guys?)
there was a press release the other day saying that the thieves stumble into a house where the owner (dt) is keeping a woman hostage. like i said, it’s just an assumption from that on my part that he is therefore once again playing a psychopathic rapist, but that plot point does seem to indicate a nasty piece of goods...

We don't know what roles he gets offered at this point. Isn't acting sometimes taking what you can get so you can have a paycheck? He was brilliant as Kilgrave, so it makes sense he's getting similar offers. And the guy who offered him the role is obviously a huuuge fan, so that could have something to do with it too. It's a job and he's still a good person.
his agent should find him some better work then lol, he clearly has the talent and popularity combo which should (and i reckon does) allow him to pick and choose his scripts
he was brilliant as kilgrave, yeah, and jessica jones is arguably the best/most successful show he has done. i just don’t think he needs to hop from one shady dude to the next all the time. hardy and ten are like the only nice characters of note* that he’s played lol (*by which i mean, popular with fans but also commercially successful)
it is just a job and obv he’s a lovely person i’m not disputing that, but i just....wish....he was more discerning lmao. he deserves better!!

That was pretty much my thoughts when i read that 'woman being held prisoner in her own home' bit of info. Like, again? I get that playing the bad guy is fun to do, but still... Out of all the characters he's played (that i've seen, which to be fair is a lot, though not all) there is only about 5-ish that i would actually describe as a 'good' person. I would like it if he would start playing people i could actually root for lol
