He couldn’t believe it. The dark haired male sat down on a stone bench right across from a park where a young kid was playing with her dad. As he sat down his back melted to the bench and he leaned against the harsh material. His eyes closed as he tilted his head up towards the sky that was a shade of ugly gray. It was obvious that it was going to rain soon, but there were still some people running around because they had an umbrella, or they were planning on leaving anyway. Jaejoong had neither of those ideas. He didn’t feel like going back to his hotel where his brothers were, nor did he want to go buy an umbrella.
He just wanted to sit there on his bench.
A deep breath escaped the boy’s lips as he then opened his eyes to look at the gray sky. His thoughts going back to what he had just learned about his family. They were still alive. They were still here. They were still wanting to meet their daughter. Jaejoong couldn’t believe it at all; he couldn’t understand why it had to be the old man that he had met in the park a few days ago was his grandfather.
The man that had kicked his mother out for being pregnant, only to find out that that wasn’t necessarily the case. Why? Why couldn’t he have been an asshole instead of the old man that he could tolerate.
The dark haired male reached up to grip on to his shirt as he contemplated on what to do. Should he tell his brothers? Should he just forget about it? What should he tell the old man when he met him again? He had ran away so suddenly there was no way that he could just come back to him without a reason as to why he left so quickly. Especially when the old man looked so sad when he talked about his daughter. He had just left him there when he could have said or done something.
Perhaps he should go back to him. Yeah. That..He should do that. The dark haired male thought as he stood up from the bench to start running back to the old man that he had left. Maybe…he should tell him that he was the child of his daughter. Maybe he would want to know that. Maybe. Everything will be OK.
Jaejoong thought as he stopped when he had hit a stop light. The light had stated that it was red with a figure that was standing still. Jaejoong looked on both sides and there was heavy traffic indeed. Not to mention that he had to remember that even if it was a stop sign there were people that tended to speed through them.
As he waited there by the stop sign his mind went back only to his grandfather that he had just met. As he did this he looked up, and watched the people that were walking on the far side of the busy street. He wasn’t paying attention to what they were doing, but he had them in his sights. It was so that when he was thinking he didn’t have to focus on one person as his thoughts were jumbled up.
The first raindrop had fallen on to the cement, and after that people were one by one puling out their umbrellas. Holding them high above their heads in various colors as they walked up and down the sidewalk. At this time the light had changed, and people were able to walk across the street.
Jaejoong saw the light change out of the corner of his eye, and he looked in both directions before crossing the street. Yet as he got to the middle of the road his hear head a screech. Knowing automatically what was going on he turned to look on he other side of the road to confirm what was going to happen.
It ended up going so fast for him. He saw a guy walking in the road, and then a man in a car hitting the brakes. Jaejoong, working automatically, had dashed towards the other to try to get him out of the way. Although no matter how fast Jaejoong was, the car would still win by a landslide.
The car ended up smashing into the man that had been walking, and as he stopped the rest of the cars around him had tried to stop. As they did this they ended up crashing into other cars, or splitting up to form a circle of cars around the man that was hit.
Oh god. Jaejoong thought to himself as he jumped on to the cars to get to the man that had been originally hit. He didn’t stop to wonder why he cared about the other, nor did he stop to think about his own safety. All that was going through his mind was that this person was seriously hurt.
As Jaejoong jumped on top of the car that hit the man he then jumped down to land next to the male that was hit. Blood was spewed everywhere as it was getting mixed with the rain that was beginning to turn heavy. Since Jaejoong was used to blood, he didn’t stop as he got down towards the other.
Putting a hand on top of the other to see if he was already dead or not. As he looked the male over he could see his chest was barely moving. Well at least he wasn’t dead. Jaejoong thought as he then took a look at the male’s head. That was good.
But those were the only two things that were. The man was a mess…A pure mess.
Jaejoong then took out his phone to text his emergency call operator. Once the man switched to video, Jaejoong had signed to him that there was a man that was hit by a car on a street. That was when he had heard the shout of, “Just kill me now!" by the man in front of him. Jaejoong signed ‘hurry’ to him and then put the phone on the ground. Probably going to die, but that was fine because he had to work fast.
The dark haired male reached over to touch the other’s cheek. His hand laying softly on his cheek as he then looked around to see if anyone was noticing what he was about to do, but since the cars were blocking everyone’s vision he thought that this was fine.
He needed to do it to save the man’s life. Jaejoong let out a deep breath, and then his hand started to make the other’s skin glow under his palm. It was a soft glow that was rather unnoticeable by anyone on the outside if they saw, but the other could probably see it.
He was going to heal him until the paramedics came. Jaejoong decided as he then pulled Jaejoong into his lap, and continued to heal him. Right now all he wished that he could do was to tell the other that everything was going to be fine, but he couldn’t. He couldn’t talk at all. So instead he just concentrated on healing.
The paramedics came later then usual due to the cars that were circling around the two, and by then Jaejoong was able to significantly heal the other. The paramedics loaded the hurt man into the ambulance, and then they pushed Jaejoong into the ambulance thinking that perhaps they were connected.
As they drove the paramedics worked on Jaejoong until they got to the hospital where he was then rushed into the ER. Leaving the gumiho to sit outside to wait for the man to get out.
Another gloomy morning...
Jaejoong thought to himself as he made his way out of his apartment to head to work, umbrella tucked into his backpack in case it rained on his way there. It was days like this that made him just want to stay in the warm and dry confines of his apartment, curl up in bed and cuddle with his dogs without having to worry about anything else.
But this is what came with being a restaurant owner, he figured, and whining about it wasn't going to do him any good so instead he just quietly ran down the streets of Seoul to head towards his restaurant.
His mind has been filled with many thoughts recently, and he always found that leaving to and from work were the times that he contemplated about everything the most. Mostly because that was the only time when he was actually alone.
But that morning, as he was lost in one of his many thoughts, he didn't seem to be paying attention to what was going on around him. Not at the cars or the large crowd of people that were probably headed towards their jobs as well.
Usually though, his attention would still be focused on the settings around him, even as he thought of the many things playing in his mind. His eyes would focus on the streets, the cars, the bikers, the people, making sure that he stayed safe as he crossed the road.
But for some reason, that morning was different. There had been so much happening in his life that it just clouded his mind - and his sight as well, it seemed. Because as he was crossing the street, he did not notice the car that failed to stop at the red light. The car that was speeding to make a turn and making it impossible to stop on time before hitting the blond.
He didn't notice, until he felt a sharp pain in his side and he was knocked down onto the floor with a loud cry, the car smacking into him so hard he nearly flew back onto the sidewalk.
He didn't know what was happening as he laid there on his back, staring up at the sky as he tried to regain his breathing. His chest suddenly felt tight, and his shirt felt wet... And he didn't want to look down in fear of what he would see.
He wasn't going to make it out of this alive, was he? "Just kill me now!" He cried out when he felt someone kneeling down beside him, barely able to make out their words. His ears seemed to be blocked, his vision turning into a slight haze as he felt unfamiliar hands take hold of his body.
Jaejoong repeated those words that he had said just a few seconds ago, this time in more of a slur as he could feel himself slowly losing consciousness, eyelids falling shut as he just gave in and rested against the stranger that was by his side.
An unfamiliar sensation filled his chest and mind, and the pain that he had been feeling a few seconds earlier was slowly fading - although, he could still feel a harsh stab in his side. He didn't know what was happening, but a that point he didn't care. He was going to die, and he just had to accept that.
With that thought in his head, he let his eyes fall shut. A single tear rolled down his cheek and a pained whimper left his lips before he succumbed to the tired feeling that had taken over his body, completely unaware of everything that was taking place around him.
