Oh boy!!! I loved the ending of this amazing duet. You know of those little things that sometimes authors forget to get closure?... well this is noooot it, I mean we have a great closure for every single thing, and it´s totally not what you would expect.

Cora is still trying to figure out what happened to Penn that night, how all her life was shattered in just one night; she´s a strong woman, who can take care of herself, but she feels like the universe is taking everything she cares for; she´s fighting but she doesn´t want to fight any more.

So, if you want a great duet to read, with strong female and truly with another perspective of Mafia, well this is for you! I promise you won´t regret it and you´ll truly fall in love with Aly Martinez´s writing.

Keep Breathing, that´s what life is all about and Cora´s life hasn´t been easy; she manages the house where the girls life, girls that work for the Guerrero Family, they are powerful men, evil and so cruel; she takes care of them, she speaks to them and that´s what her life has become after trying to escape the Guerrero´s, she came to the conclusion that her purpose on life is to keep fighting to get all the girls out of that world, no matter the cost, she´ll do it.

Penn´s tragedy has taken him to a path where he no longer recognizes himself, he´s trying to find a new path and a new life so he can forget that night, when he lost his wife and he couldn´t move a finger to help her.

They both feel a connection but also know, that there´s something each other is hiding, and even when everything seems to be perfect they know that´s life is hard and you just need to keep breathing just to escape the past.

This one is a really good one!! I mean, it´s so different from the books I´ve read about mafia, this one is all about the people that work for mafia men, so yeah, there´s tragic, there´s sad but there´s always the beauty that comes within that ugly. I loved this book, soooooo it´s no wonder I´ll be reading the next one right away!!
