is this meant to be post-Geoffrey or is stuff from the Mabinogion ok?
anything under the Arthurian umbrella is fine! tbh 90% of my headcanons are from White, so....
we just don't acknowledge any of the movies.

The jargon can be so tough!!! There's one Celtic Phil article in particular that nearly made me lose the will to live If you have questions, I'm happy to try to help?
Oh thank you that’s such a nice offer! I’ve struggled through my reading for today but I may message you tomorrow when I’m inevitably having trouble with the last few things on the reading list
OH MY GOD FINN I only just realised 'trwth' was 'to run with the hound',- I was parsing it as a weird Welsh orthography spelling of 'truth' and thought you were using it as a tag to be edgy or something
I mean honestly that's how I read it 95% of the time and it's my acronym, so, same. 😂 @cicelythereaper has also professed to reading it as me yelling TRUTH in a Welsh accent (since I usually capitalise it).
But also: me? Edgy? I am 100% pure fluff. I'm incapable of being edgy even when I want to.

Urgh I know that conundrum well, it is the worst. I usually try to pick a small and minimally threatening part to work on first and try and use that to build momentum and keep making progress, but that's easier said then done :/ hang in there!
Yeah no that’s really good advice - thank you <3 I caught up with my Old Norse translations today so hopefully I’ll feel up to essay writing tomorrow.
theunexpectedson replied to your post “Ya gal’s having a Slight Breakdown”
let me know if I can do anything to help <3
Thank you <3 I’ll be okay eventually. I just have to find the energy to stop being sad and anxious so that I can actually get some work done (although the thing that is most likely to give me the energy to stop being sad and anxious in the first place is getting some of my work done... oh well, I’ll be fine at some point)
theunexpectedson replied to your post “can someone please assassinate me so i don’t have to write this paper...”
hard same
let’s be assassinated together

if you can communicate with the person it was due to in any way I find that usually helps a lot, most people are understanding and will give your more time/guidance if you need it. Easier said than done though :/
yeah i mean i didn’t get one done last week either but i at least managed to write a plan whereas this time i’m just sitting here completely unable to think and i feel bad for failing twice in a row
especially because i don’t even have my usual excuse of like... ‘today my pain was too bad to function’ it’s just ‘hey my brain starts screaming whenever i try and form coherent thoughts’

Look, don't be mean about my weird linguistic child ok? In this department we love and respect the Celtic languages :P
love, maybe. respect, I’m less sure of. Or have you not read Gesta recently? Being rude about Celtic languages is basically a departmental pastime.
