It recently occurred to me that my approach to the divine has always leaned theurgic, long before I even learned what theurgy was. It has always been my desire to reach, know, and work alongside the divine—to contribute to divine creation.
I'm really excited to see what this path holds for me; I think I'll be walking it for the foreseeable future.
On Divine Communication From a Theurgist Perspective.
You exprience and prove a lot more when you actively try to listen to the gods you follow.
You learn a lot like facing fears and growth with confrontation and safety you learn to think for yourself and take in the council of many others.
There is a line between spiritual and mental health that even professionals are expected to uphold. Do the research and youll stop being afraid that what you experience is invalid, i know its hard, gods do i know.
I've learned so much from them, have made so many relationships and forged friendships once i took up actual divination and hellenic polytheist traditions. It's a tradition for a reason, find the reason and understand it, speak with the gods you're researching and be sure you listen because some times it sounds like it counterdicts what you are reading, when the truth is the source was wrong, and you find the reality even further back, with evidence.
Follow through and listen, follow and comprehend, but never EVER. Follow if they push you with threats. No one whos worth your time will threaten you into following what they say.
Threats are not facts either, many times Zeus has informed me i am going to suffer greatly if i dont listen to him, and the facts line up to state i make a decision to do my own thing and risk walking alone, or follow him and have his word of safety, that is not a threat, that is a statement.
Threats are more akin to "oh gods if i dont do this i'll be smote if i don't meet her there shell kill me shell torture me shell-" the they don't do that. (Not without valid reason)
Now spirits, will though and if you're not experienced you'll asume anything that makes you shake is a god. They warn of hubris for a reason, theres no shame in being a student, but death follows the egotistical closely.
After years of communicating researching and sacrificing. I trust him, i trust him now and i used to curse his name.
You can learn if you listen, if you try.
You'll learn what is truth, and what is madness and how to walk the line.
For Example
Dream symbolism reading is a combination of mental and spiritual, yes your wild clown dream had a purpos but the divination may reveal exactly the same as a visit to a clued in therapist
"You're stressed as fuck and you need to chagne the source of stress or do what your body needs of you"
Or it can be an omen that a medical professional may not read that may hold your livelyhood in the balance, even just general safety.
Or it could be an entirely mental issue that no real Diviner would say more than "seek medical help."
