It was the middle of the night and Uhura still found that she couldn't sleep, couldn't really think straight either. Her mind had been scattered, unable to form a real coherent thought besides 'when can I go back to sleep...?"
She suffered day and night, often tired when she came to the bridge for her shift, and puzzled because she didn't understand what was happening to her.
And so she'd started to take walks - just around the ship, usually to the Observation Deck where she was accompanied by beauty and light raveled in darkness all around. She hadn't ever ran into anyone before on these little night trips, which was why she was surprised when she heard the sound of the turbolifts opening, and out stepped a person.
"Who's there?" She called.
