Currently sitting at exactly 3 weeks out from Nationals, here’s a quick update. + I’m in the fortunate position of already being about 90% ready. Just waiting a little longer before pulling back on cardio and leg training, to give them a break, allow them actually recover, and bring down inflammation. + Then it's a matter of being doused in spray-tan, and filling out for the big dance. + In contrast to last year's prep, this one has been night and day across the board. + Energy is higher, training sessions are better, recovery is on point, and aside from the expected hunger and perpetual fatigue, no ill side effects. + Being able to cruise into Nationals without having to do anything drastic, panic about conditioning, or deal with any health issues is an absolute blessing, and I can't wait to see how that translates onto the stage. + I'm also sitting 14 pounds heavier than what I stepped on stage at last year, in drastically better condition. + So, that's pretty neat. #roadtonationals #thewanderingmeathead #thepumpisthecure
