This Morning It’s my last office day for the week. I walk to the shopping Centre. It’s a good 40 minutes walk, mostly uphill. I reward myself with a Latte from Costa Coffee. It’s probably the only coffee I’ll have today. The lady, same lady every Tuesday and Wednesday, greets me “Good Morning! Large Latte to take out?” She remembered. That makes me feel good. “Yes please” “Thank you”. I walk through to the crossing to get my bus. I’ve just missed one, or so I thought. It’s just coming but I’m still to cross the dual carriageway. As I’m running I can see a young lady in the bus shelter, she’s talking to the driver and gesturing towards me. As I enter the shelter she smiles. I smile back. She tells me she asked the driver to wait for me. I smile again and thank her. I get on the bus. She doesn’t. This isn’t the bus that she’s catching. I thank her again.
