oh man, this bit from portraiture has really been on the mind lately;

i just like the visual of it! there’s always something very “other” about looking at reflections in windows, and this kind of eye strain that comes with looking at two things at once. but also writing this reminded me of every single moment i’ve ever caught eye contact with a person through a window reflection and it’s just the eeriest thing alive.

25. What part of writing is the most fun?

getting the mood just right omg. there’s something extremely satisfying about getting the tone and atmosphere down in just the precise way you can feel it manifesting in your brain. i also like writing dialogue, which is for sure a development from even a few years ago -- i used to really loathe it lmfao.
