(756) bridge on sand

it’s hard, building a new you,   telling yourself your new story:

            i’m certainly not good at it,               otherwise i’d be further along.

                           ...it’s like building a bridge on sand, see:                                          the first step is always, always unsteady.

but step enough on even sand, and it becomes sandstone, becomes rock.

     and then it’s a proper bridge.      a proper definition of yourself.

(747) an age of stars falling

today is an age of stars, falling down from the firmament, as fire.

     down from the firmament, as fire,      angels ride meteors, wings akimbo

angels ride meteors, wings akimbo sharpening their spears of radiant flame

     sharpening spears of radiant flame, there      is a wait for passion enough to live.

is a wait for passion enough to live? when philosophy becomes action, focused -

     when philosophy becomes focused action,      i hope love still surges, becomes cause.

i hope love still surges and comes, because today is an age of stars falling.
