it’s red.  and okay so it’s kinda cute.  but if she thinks for one second that that fridge is going into his car...!?

there’s a slight shudder at the thought.  it was bad enough when tristan plugged in his damn phone to charge it.  there was no sat nav.  no fancy schmanzy bluetooth stereo ( it still had a clunky old cassette player - and even that didn’t have auto-reverse.  you needed the strength of hercules to shove the button and get it to vomit out one of the old plastic tapes.  which had - actual tape... )

he can see clearly that amber needs a little education on just what makes a classic, ‘a classic’. 

 and this is also why he had a coolbox.  something that nestled on the back seat and didn’t need plugging in or wiring into - well... anything.  it was possibly just as ancient as the car.  

but he does chuckle at the words across the little door.

what he - can - do, however - is jerry rig one of the sockets in his room ( his room - still a bit of a weird thought ) - so that the fridge can run up there.  and hey - handy for beer and cold pizza for breakfast in bed?

I like to stay in bed for a while after I woke up, if I don’t have any obligations. Just reading a book or just checking my phone until I really have to get out of it. And I drink too much coffee.

“Amber, listen to me!” He could as well be talking to a brick wall. Amber’s back was as unforgiving as that wall. “Don’t you see I tried to do the best for you? I couldn’t know that judge…” That word got a reaction from the girl, but not the one he wanted. Amber stood up, grabbed her holdall and started to walk out of the courtroom. “Amber, listen to me!” He ran after her and caught up with her in a corridor, grabbing her arm and forcing her to turn around to face him. There wasn’t a lot left of the girl he was used to see. “Listen Amber, I’m going to talk to them. They can’t put you in jail, especially not now.” He had wanted her to take responsibility for what she had done, he had just never thought they would punish her this badly. Being in jail would be a disaster enough, but during a full moon? “Please, Amber…” He still didn’t get any reaction, just a pull from her arm to get loose from him because she wanted to storm out. “I’ll make it right, ok? I promise…” With those words he let go, not wanting to restrain her further. It would be hard enough to win back her trust in the first place.
