On Again?-Kenrik Flashforward (2068)

âI see you took that tip from me.â Erik said, smugly and complete with a smug smile as well. âI dunno, not long. Iâm just passing and knew you still lived in town. I have a question though⊠why are you still here? I thought you wanted to go travelling? I mean, we did for a while.âÂ
âMhm.â She agreed. Kennedy really did take his advice on a lot of things. âYeah, I traveled a bit after we parted ways, but like two years ago I decided to come back for a bit to see the town.. This would always be home. I wasnât planning on staying this long, and I do plan on leaving in a few months.â She smiled. âWhat have you been up to?âÂ

âYou can afford it by the looks of this place.â Erik indicated around the penthouse but didnât move when she got closer to him. âWhoâd you compel this time?â He let her wipe off the blood from the corner of his mouth. âTo see you of course, I was in town and decided âhey, maybe Kennedy could do with seeing a familiar faceâ and bam, here I am.âÂ
Kennedy smiled. âI have a really good savings account.â She let her guard slip around him. âHis name was Lucas. He was really tasty. Thought we were together, but he wasnât bright.â She shrugged. The smile on her face growing. She slowly moved to sit on his lap. âHow long are you staying? Iâm guessing you want a place to crash?â She smirked. âI am happy to see you of course.âÂ

erikhawtcrn:
âHello.âÂ
The moment the words spilled from his lips to a confused looking human, Erik was already draining him of his blood and forcing him back into the penthouse, slamming the door shut behind him.Â
In no time at all, Erik sort of tossed the body onto the nice white rug and went to inspect the kitchen to find something to drink. Luckily for him he found a good scotch sitting in the back of a cupboard so took it, grabbed a glass and went to sit down to wait for her to return.Â
It was a while before Kennedy turned up to see the carnage he had caused in her once white, clean living room. âI think it looks much better like this. Wouldnât you agree?âÂ
Kennedy took a long sip from the glass where she poured alcohol in before pouring more into it. She walked to look at him before the body of Lucas on the ground. âNo.â She said before sighing. âHowever, the damage is done and I was going to get a new rug anyway.â She walked closer to him before moving to wipe the blood off the corner of his lips as licking it off her finger. âShame though, I was kind of hoping to eat when I got home.â She looked him over closely. âWhat brings you to my home?â

Heels clicked the floor as she walked down the hall from her elevator to her penthouse. Throughout the years, Kennedy made a name for herself. Mainly in the vampire world. The sweet girl still poured sugar, but if someone poked her the wrong way, there was trouble. It made her more confident. More excited to live life. The blonde needed control, and what better way than to have a little power? Watching Nicolas throughout some years, she picked up a few tricks.Â
As she got to her door, she was surprised to know it was unlocked. Lucas, or so called boyfriend, but truly just a puppet, must have not locked it. Rolling her blue eyes, she walked inside. Instantly, Kennedy knew something was off. She placed her purse down on the entry way table before walking in. Turning, she walked into the living room to find blood everywhere. It didnât take her long to figure out who did it when the person was sitting on her couch with a glass in hand. Even though she hasnât seen him in 15 years, it still made her heart tug slightly.
âHello, Erik. I see you took it upon yourself to redecorate.â She spoke before making her way to pour herself a drink.

erikhawtcrn:
âYouâre weird, thinking Iâm a good person.â Erik shook his head, it was hard to believe really, that he was a good person in her eyes.Â
âHm, Iâve been called worse.â She smiled brightly at him. âAre you sure you want to stay down here? I can always lock you in your room...or mine.â She laughed softly. âDo you want your journal or anything?âÂ

Kennedy: Hmm, never heard of that rule, so I don't believe in it ;)
Shawn: you don't trust your own brother? I would never lie.
Kennedy: I trust you!
Kennedy: So when do you start this police thing?
phoebetonkins:
Stefan, youâre strong enough. And if you ever doubt that, Iâm gonna be here to remind you.

Lexiâs feet remained planted on the porch a moment after Kennedy invited her in, the house as pristine on the outside as the vampire who owned it. She wondered, as she pushed past her own defenses and stepped inside, what made Kennedy so drastically different from the rest of the suburban homeowners in Arcadia, with nice linens and tall hanging curtains. No one would ever suspect the blonde, whoâd stepped into a beautiful kitchen, which still smelled like baked goods, had been contemplating murder a few hours ago.Â
Refraining from staring too long at too many things, Lexiâs hazel eyes settled on the glass she was being handed. She took it, gratefully, but didnât drink just yet, choosing to stand behind the island and set her beverage down on the cool surface whilst Kennedy went into detail.
Her brows furrowed at the picture Kennedy painted for her, the way she said things, almost as if she wanted to be everything but a complication, was familiar to her in itâs most extreme forms. She could find some common ground, at least, with the final words that escaped her lips.
âIâmâŠâ Lexi sighed, eyes falling to the liquor between her fingers. âNot the best person to talk to about this butâŠâ
âPeople come and go, Kennedy. Doesnât mean youâve got nothing to offer them. If it did, I would have cleaned house a long time ago.â she muttered, gaze still adrift, as she felt caught between hypocrisy and defiance, and of course, actually giving the newborn across from her something to hold onto. Deciding sheâd need to consider the last before all else, Lexi looked back at Kennedy.Â
âErikâs great, and being in love, I guess, must be great, butââ She waved her hand at the uncertain blonde, as though trying to point out, in summary, what there was to lose on the other side of things. Any corny tail-ends to her point choked her, however. Nothing like saying she was selling herself short, or that she was better than she thought she was left her lips, and as she tore her gaze away again, Lexi couldnât help but hate the sound of her own silence. Heaven forbid she gave someone a compliment. The brunette cleared her throat, and shifted her weight from one foot to the other.Â
âHe loves you, okay? Just take my word for it and donât tell him I told you.âÂ
Kennedy smiled. She was really glad that she was able to hear all this stuff with Erikâs best friends. She knew it took a lot for Lexi because they were not close at all, but it was still nice to know that someone else knew he loved her. âThank you.â She spoke. âI know this isnât your perfect evening, but I really do thank you.â She poured herself another drink.Â
âAnything on your mind that you want to talk about?â She offered.Â
bloodrageprince:
âAnd youâre certain it affected everyone?â He asked her pointedly, remembering the people heâd encountered, and trying to recall whether theyâd acted in any way out of the ordinary. He supposed the best example was right in front of him. Before he could question her about it though, he ceded to her request with a tilt of his head and began walking out of the alleyway.Â
Nicolas didnât stop once they were out, but squinted slightly as the sun greeted them from between the tall buildings. âWhat did you  f e e l  during the event then? If it was so out-of-character for you?â
Kennedy shrugged. âI havenât questioned every single person that went, but most of the people that I know went, did have some sort of affect.â She knew it was all hard to believe. Especially without evidence of who done it, but wasnât them all acting horrible enough? As they walked into the light, she almost stopped at his question.Â
âUm, I felt really jealous and insecure...more than normal.â She softly spoke. Obviously she didnât like to be insecure, but that was who she was.Â

Erik silently nodded his head then pressed his lips against hers in a light kiss for a moment. âI love you, you know? I definitely donât deserve you.âÂ
Kennedy softly kissed him back. âI know.â She smiled. âAnd you do. You are a good person, Erik. I wouldnât be with you if I didnât see otherwise.â She pulled him into another light kiss.
theabigailcooper:
A bit too late for that Iâm afraid. That particular thought she was nice enough to keep to herself, however. The run in with the old vampire did teach her one important lesson: it was best to hold her tongue around these creatures. Kennedy said she wouldnât hurt her, but since she was a young vampire Abigail was uncertain as to how much control the vampire had. Â
âI am curious about one thing,â she continued to try and clear the air, âWhy tell me such a huge secret? Sure the likelihood of someone believing me if I spilled anything is small but it would have been just as easy to not tell me anything at all.
Kennedy looked at Abigail as she asked her question. The blonde shrugged. âYouâre a witch, so itâs not like you donât know about supernatural creatures. However, I told because I donât see you as a threat or a horrible person.â She shrugged with a small smile on her face. âPlus, itâs nice to have friends that I donât have to hide myself from.â
gentlemanlymonster:
He chuckled, surprised that she had listened, âIâm sure your hangover will thank you in the morning,â He teased lightly - something that he was having to ease back into. âYou can be honest with me if you havenât been⊠I canât say that heavy drinking is a behaviour Iâm accustomed to with you. But, perhaps I just donât know you as well as I should.â He was gently prodding, giving her a way out because he could be wrong - or she could simply not want to talk about it. Though, heavy drinking was very different from the heavy-cleaning way of coping that he had gotten to know.
Kennedy smiled softly. Alexandre was always so wonderfully nice to her, even with his humanity off. She nodded. âEverything is actually going really well. I just wanted to have a little fun and relax. Obviously, Iâm not a person that does relax often.â She laughed.Â
erikhawtcrn:
âI donât know. I wish I knew myself.â Erik hung his head, looking down at his feet. âI never wanted you to see me like this, ever.â He was ashamed that it got this far in the first place.Â
Kennedy took his hand. âHey...â She softly spoke. Her other hand lifted his chin. âI want to see every part of you. Iâm going to do my best to help you through this. I know it will take time, but it will be okay.â
