Gods, I Love You (Part 6)
Warnings: this is just pure fucking fluff (with a tiny bit of doubts tossed in there because you’re getting married, who tf wouldn’t be nervous/have doubts???)
Holy shit, this is the final chapter. That’s so weird to think about. I loved writing this story. It was so much fun and it was all fluff which was fun to do. I really hope that everyone else loved reading this just as much I loved writing it.
I love you all and can’t wait to continue on with my next stuff with you all
(part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5)
Y/N sat on the edge of the bed. She had sent Siv out a few moments ago. Telling her to go ahead that she would meet her there. She was just wanting to be alone. Tomorrow. Tomorrow she would officially be apart of the Asgardian Royal Family. She looked at her hands, which were shaking. She tried to let out a few calming breaths but in the end it didn’t work. She heard a knock on the door and then heard it opening. She looked and saw Loki walking over to her. She stood shakily and he just took her hands in his. “Are you alright darling?”
She looked at his face, “Tomorrow.”
He smiled, “Yeah, but that’s not why you’re shaking.”
“I’ve never done this before. I mean, I’ve only been to 2 other balls. But none of them had people from other realms.”
“Is that what you’re worried about?”
“Loki, what if I make a fool of myself? Or disrespect--”
He shut her up by kissing her. He pulled away and moved a hand to be holding her neck lightly. “You shouldn’t be nervous. I’ll be right by your side the whole time.”
“I promise. Now, let’s go before father sends people to look for us so we’re not late.”
Y/N smiled as she stood next to Loki while a representative from Alfheim spoke. “I enjoy how someone so normal is marrying into this family. It makes everything seem like marriages don’t just happen for alliances.”
Loki nodded, “Yes, the only wedding I’ve been to are those for alliances. I particularly remember the one for the alliance of Nornheim and Alfheim.”
“Oh yes! And the fight that broke out! You were quite young then, I’m surprised you remember.” Loki just shrugged, “Now,” They pointed to Y/N, “One of your sisters are married to someone on Odin’s court, correct?”
She nodded, “Yes, my sister Asta. She’s married to the youngest member.”
“I remember that wedding. I don’t remember seeing you there.”
Y/N smiled, “We hid once we were able to get away.”
“Of course. That wedding was...how do I put this lightly...”
“Too plain? Believe me, Asta cried over it for days.”
“Asta did too. But Arvid wanted something more simple. Since he was the richer one, he got the say.” Y/N glanced over to her sister who was seemed to be flirting with a guard. “I do question if she didn’t marry him just to say she’s married to someone on the court. Or to have money.”
They laughed, “Oh how I love it when siblings are like that.”
Throughout the night Y/N felt more and more calm. More and more like she actually belonged there. Less like an outsider. She could tell how happy Loki was by the look on his face and it made her happy. But by the end of the night she refused to let him go.
“I’ll see you in the morning.”
“But I don’t wanna wait.”
“That we sleep together tonight. Either I sleep with you and wake up before Siv and Frigga are meant to come and get me. Or you sleep with me and you leave before they come.”
He smiled, “I love you but are you sure? I mean, neither of us like to go anywhere when we’re together.”
“I promise. So, what do you say? Break the rules?”
Y/N turned in his arms. Therefore the sun was no longer shining into her eyes. She sighed at the look of him. Hair still messy from last night. She could only imagine how bad hers was. She kissed his nose as she removed the blanket from her body. Thankful they had both remembered to toss clothes on before passing out. She moved his arm from her waist and slipped out of the bed. She quietly moved around and grabbed her dress and shoes from last night. Turning and walking back at Loki’s sleeping body she leaned down and kissed his forehead. “I’ll see you again in a few hours, love.”
Y/N quietly ran out of the room and down the hall to hers. She slipped in and placed her things in a basket. She grabbed one of her own sleeping gowns and slipped off outfit Loki had given her. She tossed this things under her bed and slipped in. She didn’t go to sleep due to nerves so she just laid there, curled up under her blanket, waiting for Frigga and Siv to come in to ‘wake’ her.
It wasn’t long that she did that as she soon heard the steps of the two women walking in. She shut her eyes and pretended to be asleep. She felt Siv shake her should lightly. “Lady Y/N? It’s time to wake up.” Y/N yawned and opened her eyes, acting as if she just woke up. “Good morning milady. Are you ready for today?”
Y/N slowly pushed herself up and smiled, “Yeah. I think I am.”
“You know, I thought I might find you in my sons room. So I must say I am quite surprised to find you in here.” Y/N felt her face heat up at Frigga’s comment. Frigga turned around and looked at Y/N, “Odin won’t know. Only us three and Loki know.”
“Sorry milady. I saw you and Prince Loki disappear together and thought to tell her.”
Y/N smiled at Siv softly, “It’s alright. You told Frigga and no one else, that I do not care about.”
Loki stood next to Thor, waiting to go out. Although he didn’t want to admit it, he was terrified to walk out. He felt Thor’s hand fall onto his shoulder. “Are you ready brother?” Loki looked at his brother. And when Thor saw his look, just like it was whenever they would do something bad as children and their father would yell at them, he immediately knew Loki was scared. “Brother, you don’t mean to tell me you are scared?”
Loki felt his face heat up and got defensive, “Why would you say that? I am anything but scared!”
“I meant no disrespect brother. But I do know you. You have the same look as when we would get in trouble as children. Father always scared you whenever he yelled. I suspect he still would.”
“Should I have done this?”
“I’m forcing Y/N into a life she never wanted.”
“I believe you forcing Lady Y/N into a life she does not want would be you leaving her.”
“Please brother, I may not notice much but I do see how much she loves you. I believe she is happy with any life as long as you are in it.”
Loki thought about it. “Never did I think I would say either of these two things but here we are.”
“Oh, I like that one, do say it again.”
Loki rolled his eyes and Thor laughed, “And you helped calm me down.” Loki looked at his brother, “Thank you.”
Thor nodded, “Of course. It’s my job as your older brother to make sure you don’t do something you’ll regret.’
“I thought that was my job as your younger brother.”
The two brothers laughed and the elder of the two added, “How about it’s just our jobs as brothers.”
“Thor? Loki? It’s time for you two you go out.” They turned to their mother and nodded, “Thor, you go first, I need to speak with Loki for a second.”
Thor walked out and his mother spoke, “Are you alright dear?”
Loki nodded, “Surprisingly Thor helped me.”
“Your brother has done a lot of surprising things as of late.”
“When we announced your marriage to Y/N, Thor immediately started to help with getting everything put together. He would bring in the heavy things and place them where they were needed. He kept you and Y/N away from each other whenever it was needed. He was so happy that you were finally getting something you wanted.”
His mother smiled and took his hands in hers, “Because he didn’t want you to. Thor wants you to be happy, and even if he doesn’t show it, so does your father.”
He hugged his mother tightly, “I love you mother.”
“And I love you my son.” She pulled away, the tears barely being kept from escaping from her eyes. “Would you like to walk out with me?”
“I would love to mother.” He held his hand out and she took it, the two walking out to face the crowd of the day. Just like they did when he was a child.
“Milady,” Y/N looked at Var, one of Frigga’s handmaiden’s, “All-Father is out there. You are expected within the next 5 minutes.”
Y/N felt her throat tighten when Var spoke. She was frightened to go out there and face the people. “Y/N?” She turned her head to Sif, the warrior she had chosen to walk with her, barely keeping a brave face. “Are you alright?”
She tried so hard to say yes, but she couldn’t. “No. I’m not.”
Sif sat down on a seat and motioned for Y/N to sit next to her. Y/N moved and sat down, Sif moved her hand to rub Y/N’s back. “What’s wrong?”
“I understand that. You’re terrified that everyone is going to start talking about everything you do just because you’re a girl.”
“I’m the same way. I’m always terrified to go out and fight because I am the only female warrior and everyone scoffed at the idea because that’s what led the Valkyries to their death.”
“You’re right. You’re better. You too what you wanted. I’m still to scared to.”
Y/N looked at Sif, “You like Thor, don’t you?”
“Milady, you need to head out now.”
Y/N looked at Sif and Sif spoke, “You ready?”
Y/N stood and nodded, “Ready as I’ll ever be.”
Y/N stared at Loki’s eyes, waiting for Odin to say the final words so she could finally kiss Loki. But she guessed she was staring at his beautiful blue eyes as she felt his lips on hers suddenly. She smiled and kissed him back just as forcibly. When they pulled away, the smile on her face didn’t fade it just grew larger as she saw his smile. The two slowly turned to face the crowd as Odin spoke, “I now present Prince Loki and Princess Y/N. Bound together for eternity.”
Y/N turned in his arms as she felt him playing with her hair. She sighed at the look of him. His soft smile and sleepy blue eyes looking into her equally as sleepy Y/E/C eyes. "Morning love.”
“Morning darling.” He kissed her softly, but she deepened it and wove her fingers into his hair. He pulled away, too soon for her liking, “Don’t we need to do things today?”
“Not as far as I know.” She moved him to be on his back and moved herself to straddle him. “Besides, whatever we have to do can wait.” She kissed him again, “I can’t.”
He smirked before pulling her in again. Continuing what they finished last night.
