I love your au ideas especially with Izumi having the quirk that's a Japanese urban legend. How about Kuchisake-onna? Like maybe Inko or Bakugou caused her scar and in turn activates her quirk of being able to attack people by her voice?

"Hey," the voice of his foster daughter had Hizashi look up to see the green haired girl. "Aizawa's here."

"Thank you. You sure you don't want to come?" Hizashi asked as he stood.

"No," Izumi said, her head down to hide her scars. Hizashi wanted to wrap her into his arms, promising no one would say anything.

It wouldn't do anything. Her mother's psychotic break brought upon by a Villain's Quirk literally inducing it gave Izumi her Quirk.

It also gave her scars that stretched from ear to ear, a slit made in her face.

The Quirk Counselor had named it without input, and Hizashi was still fighting about that.

Hizashi stopped by Izumi, putting a hand on her shoulder with a squeeze. She leaned her head on it for a second.

"Pizza in the fridge." Hizashi told her before heading out to meet his friend. They had a family get together to get to.

"How about we come over," Tensei said. "She can meet us on her territory."

"I know Tensei, but she's struggling."

"I still think she would get along with Hitoshi," Nemuri said as she ate some rice. "Kids with control Quirks flock together and all."

"It's also her appearance," Hizashi said. "She's scared. More so after how that Bakugou kid reacted."

"I thought his issue was that he refused to admit Midoriya Inko did it?" Midnight said.

"It's an issue of multitudes." Hizashi said. "We're still arguing with lawyers."

"She's gotta face it soon," Shouta noted. "She wants UA, right?"

"Yeah. She does." Hizashi sighed. Maybe... maybe just a visit from Tenya and Hitoshi. Yeah, hell maybe he'd see if ID was in town, they were taking care of their brother, right?

I'm a newish reader and haven't had time yet to examine all of your data - have you discussed the closeness of DD's and GA's birthdays and how it might figure in to their yearly email quota? I'm terrible at remembering bdays, but more likely to remember if it is close to my own, even if I don't see that person frequently. So, DD has his bday on Aug 7, and it makes him think of Gillian's bday, which he might not otherwise remember if it wasn't Aug 9. Thus begins an email thread. -Dee

I wonder what they talk about in their email exchanges (isn't this the million dollar question?). Because at NYCC remember DD was surprised that GA was working on 3 TV shows? And when I think about "5 times a year" emails between 2 former co-stars who had a strictly "work relationship", I imagine the content would be typical, "So what are you up to these days?" talk, which would yield answers about work. So are they talking about their social lives now? About what they did over the weekend?

If I had to guess (and I suppose I do), I’d say that they probably email each other jokes whenever they run across something that they share with each other — which is basically the show. Or their tabloid exploits. So like, maybe when they meet someone in the industry who is a fan, they are like “you’ll never guess who just talked to me about you.”

Yeah, I’m really just spitballing here.

I’ve wondered how they inform each other on personal life updates. Is that strictly in person? Do they hear about it through their people? Or is Chris the family gossip? They seem to have “heard things” vaguely sometimes, and other times (“one of your many husbands”) they are apprised of enough of the situation to comment on it in front of the other one. Like most parents, they probably spend at least a certain amount of time in person talking about their kids, but I don’t know if that would be a topic for email conversation at all.

So yeah, I really have NO IDEA.

Last summer a crazy rumor, denied since then, said that David Duchovny and you were together... A dream that came true for the X-Files fans?

I always wonder how much of what they actually say is true/correct. Like, not that they're intentionally misleading people, but sometimes you just BS stuff, especially little things. But if they only knew how obsessive we are about those little things.... maybe they would be more careful in the future! #This email thing WILL drive us crazy for years to come!

I think the five emails is actual BS, because seriously, who counts emails, and especially because Gillian called it right off the bat, hahaha.

Still, BS is based on something, and he did try to quantify it, so let’s give it a shot. As an observation, I have found before that when I try to estimate how many emails I’ve exchanged with someone, I usually underestimate. I also think that “five emails” probably means something more like “five times a year one of us thinks to email the other one and then we say a few things.”

And if that’s the case, five times a year really isn’t that bad.
