Also one of my favorite things about footloose is that a lot of the dancing is goofy! Inexperienced! They're just moving around best they can! To see people time and time again clowning on it like, this is why it's hard for me to dance sometimes

I hate how it becomes something you're good at. But the point of the film is that dancing is so very human. You dont have to be good at it, you just have to do it. "We have to dance, to show God we are grateful to be alive"
