☂ - for your muse dancing with mine in the rain
Souta’s very aware of his fear of thunderstorms. A harmless drizzle doesn’t bother him, but even a downpour tends to make anxiety bubble up inside him, in anticipation for the thunder that may or may not show itself.
Perhaps Souta’s noticed the way that he keeps peeking up at the rainy, grey sky, which is why he’s suddenly pulling him out from under the safety of the overhang.
“Eh? Souta?” It comes out faintly alarmed, being taken off-guard so quickly that he isn’t sure what else to say before they’re standing in the middle of the road. His hands instinctively reach up, placing his loosely balled fists against Souta’s chest.
There’s a protest on his tongue about how it’s not good that they’re getting wet, but it never escapes his lips. Once he feels his hand being taken and an arm wrapping around his waist, it immediately dawns on him what’s happening.
“H-Here?” Pale cheeks turn a lovely shade of red, his heart fluttering. Granted, the small, narrow street is completely devoid of any people or cars. There’s nobody watching them. But, it doesn’t change the fact that they’re still in public, and the mere thought has him horribly embarrassed.
He’s almost certain that his blush deepens as Souta starts moving, shyly averting his gaze to stare down in-between their bodies. It’s difficult to pay any mind to the rain now. He’s too focused on trying to keep up the rhythm of their slow dance. Maybe that was Souta’s plan, to stop him from feeling nervous.
“Y-You’re always full of surprises.” A small, bashful smile graces his features, lightly pressing his face into Souta’s chest. “Will you take care of me if I catch a cold?”
