Water!Dew & Ifrit tender wound dressing anyone ?

"How did you do this, again ?"

Ifrit blushes, hanging his head down to try and hide the flush on his cheeks.

"...broke a jar when I opened it."

Dewdrop looks up from where he's cleaning the deep cuts in Ifrit's palm, eyebrows climbing up his forehead.

"With your bare hands ?"

Ifrit feels his face getting warmer.

"...with my bare hands."

From where he's perched on the counter, legs swinging under him, Dew levels Ifrit with a stare that's supposed to convey something like "what the fuck", but gets ruined by the fond twitch of his lips. Ifrit shifts on his stool, only for Dewdrop's tail to slap him lightly on the wrist, admonishing.

"Stay still. You have to be more careful, big guy. The objects around here aren't build to resist your big paws."

The rubbing alcohol on the cuts doesn't sting as much as it usually does, or maybe it's because Ifrit has a hard time focusing on something else than the fluttering of Dew's long lashes, the water ghoul lazer focused on his task. His long fingers are careful around Ifrit's own hands, thumb soothingly rubbing his pulse point everytime the fire ghoul twitches or accidentally let out a hiss.

"Almost done, Fritter. You'll be good as new in a heartbeat."

Dewdrop's skin is blissfully cool against Ifrit's as he ties the last of bandages, finally looking up. Blue, blue, blue, blue eyes, unguarded, softer than he usually let them be, as the water ghoul offers Ifrit a little smile.

"Feeling better ?"

Ifrit doesn't realize he leaned forward until his forehead almost bumps against Dew's, their noses brushing. Suddenly, he can't look away from the water ghoul's lips as he mumbles.

"Yeah, 'm good, and you're- you're beautiful."

Chuckling in what little space there is left between them, Dewdrop playfully tugs on the inverted cross dangling from Ifrit's neck, purposefully moving away just the slightest bit everytime the fire ghoul tries to mold their mouthes together, making him chase his lips until Dew's bent so far back on the counter he might as well be laying on it, Ifrit hovering above him, forearms braced on each side of the water ghoul's body, pleading expression on his face as he whines softly at being denied so many times.

Finally, finally, Dewdrop takes pity on him, let Ifrit kiss him all slow and sweet, nuzzling his neck afterward, content purr filling the kitchen.

Ifrit distantly thinks that he could live for years like this, in a little pocket of time with a pretty water ghoul, soft teasing and sweet kisses.
