Fun idea, what if Coraline daycare attendant AU?
So this could go about a hundred was, either sun and/or moon find the door and it leads to the 'other place' where the other animatronics are nice to them/they can leave the daycare/the daycare is open again ect ect
You could have it be that sun/moon find the door and enter to a version of Y/N that likes them/loves them/is a better version of themselves ect ect
You could have it be that Y/N opens the indoor and sun/moon are nicer/likes them/loves them ect ect
But slowly the little cracks start to show through as they pull away from the real world and lean further into this other place. Y/N isn't really Y/N so all those little things the boys like about them are hollow or absent altogether. Sun and moon aren't really them so Y/N is left feeling empty with where they stand, it's all empty gestures. Sun and moon have the daycare again but the kids aren't really kids and the other animatronics are just playing parts, they're just yes-manning everything the boys say. So of course whoever it is that you had enter the door has to defeat the denizens of this other place and free themselves,
happy ending after that? Coraline didn't exactly have a happy ending(I haven't read the book in a long time) but she freed herself and didn't die, what you would do with the end could go a hundred different ways
And instead of the other mother, you could have eclipse as the puppet master.
Food for thought
I asked an older black man how he was yesterday and he thanked me like three times for asking him and talked for the next five minutes about how alienated he felt, and this isn’t the first time I’ve had an interaction like that. I’m genuinely worried at how many older folks respond that way because it means no one is showing them even the bare minimum of human kindness in their day to day lives

Someone come love my children. They're lonely and sad and need attention. Literally all three of them.
I don't like Valentines Day....it's just like every other holiday. A lot of people are out and about and having fun, when I'm stuck in the house, "celebrating" with my parents....It isnt fair. I don't have friends i can hang out with, I dont even have a crush I can obsess over on days like this. I'm just all alone, stuck inside my room. Just like always.
