Top 3 ships: currently/actively? Bea x Allie (Wentworth), Anne x Max (Black Sails), and I guess Alex x Maggie (SG) even though that fandom is pretty dead, except on twitter, which is a pile of garbage so I don’t use it anymore.

Last Song:  Apocalypse Please by Muse, which I listened to earlier today when I was looking at songs for another meme.

Last Movie:  ugh I can’t even remember what it might have been. You know, for weeks and months I kept thinking about just going up to the movie theater super close to my house and watching something when I was bored, but never actually went. And now I can’t and I regret my total lack of motivation so much!

Currently Reading:  mostly Ballie fic, though there’s not much of it. But I really appreciate the people who are still posting. There’s some great stuff. One wip has Bea and Allie meeting in London during the Blitz, which is a really cool au idea I haven’t read anywhere before.

What food are you craving right now: honestly, nothing much. You’d think being stuck at home I’d be stuffing my face, but I really haven’t been that hungry at all and not much sounds good.

Ship Meme: 14, 22, 38, please?

14, How do you feel about will they/won’t they?

I think will they/won’t they can be fun under certain circumstances, which include a) being well-written, b) the characters really having that chemistry, c) real stakes keeping them apart, and d) a time limit. It’s really only good for a specific amount of time - drawing it out is painful and poor writing and shows a real lack of trust in your own writing, your characters, and your audience.

22. Which of your ships have the best chemistry?

Danny/Rusty from the Ocean’s movies. I mean. It’s one thing for a couple to finish each other’s sentences and a whole ‘nother level when they don’t even need to speak.

38. Do you like and use ship names?

I do not like them, on the whole. There are occasional ones that amuse me, usually when they make a funny word (KOCK comes to mind, not that anyone who ships that pairing - full disclosure: I don’t - uses it, and I get sad sometimes when I’m reminded that Panakin isn’t the Anakin/Padme portmanteau because it encapsulates them pretty well) but sometimes they are really truly terrible (I don’t ship it, but Peniss or Katpee comes to mind). I sometimes use them on tumblr in tags because those are the mainstream tags? But if I think a ship name is terrible (e.g., stucky) I will NEVER use it.

  Considering the fact that we learned last ep that...

I wonder what the darklighter’s feelings were on the Callaghan sisters.

That’s a good question.

My initial guess is that Dark!Harry would be somewhat conflicted about them. 

Perhaps he would start off liking Fiona better since she was anti-Elders and he identifies with that. But then she also turned out to be controlling and manipulative, just like the Elders, so his feelings would change.

Maybe Dark!Harry, having a different and more cynical perspective than Light!Harry, would recognize Fiona’s darker and manipulative side sooner. 

I think he would outright hate Charity just for being an Elder yet he would also feel the bleed of Harry’s feelings for her. Then when the truth came out about her murders and the extended gaslighting of Macy and Light!Harry, he’d feel smug about the fact that he hated her all along.

Dark!Harry is a very arrogant and controlling person himself. What if he simultaneously despises Light!Harry yet also feels ownership over him for simply being a part of himself? He would then feel enraged at both sisters for having the audacity to try to control and manipulate even some part of himself; someone who looks just like him.

In the same vein, his growing obsession with Macy would make him hate the Callahan sisters even more for hurting and manipulating someone he considers his.

Interesting stuff to think about.

I wonder if his assignment to Fiona, an immortal flame-keeping witch might point to Harry possibly being a ‘limited edition whitelighter’. Made to deal with more powerful witches like Fiona and the Charmed Ones

G: Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?

I write everything out of order. I’ll plot out the bare bones of what I want and then write scenes as the inspiration takes me. If I tried to force myself to work out every single moment and plot beat as I write, I’d get horribly stuck and never get anything done. Often I’ll put stuff like “INSERT EMOTIONAL INTROSPECTION HERE” in brackets and then come back to it. Writing ahead tends to help the other moments become unstuck too, because I know where I’m going. It becomes a lot like filling in the blanks.

I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?

PWP, I guess, though I don’t really feel guilty about that.

S: Any fandom tropes you can’t resist?

I’m a sucker for a good friends-to-lovers slow burn, or an enemies-to-friends-to-lovers. There’s Only One Bed. Badass, tough as nails woman is a secret softie when it comes to her girlfriend. Competency porn. Praise kink. Shower sex. Female relationships of any kind, be they romantic, platonic, familial relationships, friendships, mortal enemies, you name it. Basically, if the fic involves women, I’m there. No women=me not caring.

Penelope (2006) Penelope and Annie are trying to decorate a room but have had too much caffeine. JohnnieMax and the children are watching.

The last thing Johnny expected to see when he entered Penelope and Annie’s apartment was the pair of them throwing, actually throwing, streamers across everything and anything.

“Uh, hi?” he said coming inside and smiling when Penelope turned to him (because he always smiled when he saw her, he couldn’t help himself). 

“Johnny!” she shouted happily and she flew across the room to him and at the last minute he braced himself as she launched herself into his body.  “You’re here! You can reach the ceiling fans!”

“I can?” he asked (still fricking smiling, Christ, this woman) as he pressed a kiss to her upturned lips where he tasted...sugar.  And cola.  “How many sodas have you had today?”

“A LOT,” Annie called out as she tried to get a green streamer to drape artfully over Vern the fern and Sheldon the spider plant.  “Did you know that caffeine helps with creativity?”

“Is that what it does?” he said as he looked down at Penelope who just grinned.

“It does,” she said firmly.

“It’s also going to cause a hell of a headache later,” he said brushing a lock of hair off her forehead.

“That’s later,” she said. “Now I need you to help us tie the red streamers to the ceiling fan.”

“Of course, you do,” he said chuckling.  “Why not one of each color, that way it makes a rainbow when you turn it on?”

Penelope froze and gazed up at him.  “Oh. My. Gosh!  Annie!  A rainbow!”

“Sold!” Annie shouted throwing an orange streamer over the chessboard.

Johnny just nodded and said, “Right. Where’s the stepladder?”
